Found this (early alpha) survival game à la Cast Away on Steam. It has been developed by two computing science student (like I am) during the last two years.
Even though it hasn't that much content yet it got me addicated in a few days like only Minecraft (alpha, now it sucks) did in 2010. Which I liked for it having less content, too. After all, it feels more authentic to not have access to that many crafting recipes and ressources when, like in this case, being stranded. I just love the setting and (randomly generated) environment.
Here a bunch of screens I made yesterday:
You're stranded. Suprise.
You can chop trees, harvest plants, collect coconuts, sticks, rocks etc.
Built.
Sweet home.
Craft stuff (you find from wracks).
Navigate in fog.
Find wracks and search them for useful stuff.
Sometimes pretty deep, so don't drown or be a shark's meal.
Atmospheric day cycle.
A watch to keep track of your healt, hunger & thirst.
I myself have it as well, I don't like the thing where if you make the fireplace with stones you can't add more wood. But that's about all I have wrong with it at the moment.
Seems decent so far, some more content could be more interesting.

Fireplace (fire pit) works for me. You sure you put sticks or palm fronds and not logs into it?

Haven't encountered any major bugs yet. Also, it was developed since 2 years already. If I'd be them, I'd release it already and add weekly content or such.
And it works great on my rather old laptop (on highest settings 1080p). Not many mainstream titles with such graphics work at all for me.
Yesterday I watched Cast Away one more time, and loved how the developers of that game managed to catch the feeling of that movie and integrated it into the game.
