Methinks/hopes you meant no escape, which I suppose is true.
I have many a great friend here. Friends I talk to on the phone, friends I write.
And I loved RPing my characters, and writing them out, finding pics to edit to add to the rich comic-book-like tapestry.
And so I'll always have a bit of Disco on me, and my fingerprint on a bit of Disco.
But there actually is escape.
Without the game installed on my PC, and consequently my ego tied to my character -(we ALL do it, so finger-waggle someone else, folks)- I just don't care about the constant prodding and jockeying for position that used to infuriate me.
It fueled me too though, if I'm honest.
It fueled me to log on and be present and defiant, but that kind of motivation is fleeting.
However, if you let that be your primary reason to log on, you tend to wander in and out of the community, like I have.
Anyway - stoner rant complete:
Hi friends - and the rest of you schleps!
