I will just say what I pointed out on TS a while back, which was where this thread idea began.
Cardamine as a highly problematic drug with irreversible effects was an interesting concept that was as close as we had to a non-living antagonist in Freelancer. The implementation of RP that just ''cures'' or ''removes the danger'' of it just smacks as completely butchering the concept to an otherwise interesting idea.
Yes, roleplay is always going to be varid enough to expect this sort of stuff, but imho not touching that particular subject would have brought more possibilities. If anyone would have cared enough to push the idea of Cardamine further, that is.
Tbh, I wouldn't really shake two sticks at stuff like Stabaline and whatever if the effects it represented would be seen only in the next generation or something.

Thread title is about treatment, now you talk about cure. Now I see where the fault in your logic is.

It doesn't. Treat means symptom mitigation, cure means complete removal of source of health issue.

Like I said earlier, someone is always going to have "found a magical pill from Gallia" that cures Cardamine. It's better to have an established drug as a commodity that (questionably) takes care of the dying. A downside to this drug was already talked about. The dangers aren't known, it's really expensive, the company distributing it has human rights violations on its record, and it might not work at all. That and it also being illegal in house space (for Liberty and Kusari at least, dunno about the other 3)
