Vice Admiral, I am certain you have already heard of the attack on the Harmony. Multiple bombs have been placed on board and when the bomb squad was defusing the last it went off, severely damaging the starboard side. The LSF is already seeming to be investigating in the situation as they notified us of the bombs in time. Otherwise my crew, the Harmony and me wouldn't be there anymore.
I want to request making the repair of the Harmony a priority. You know how well the battlegroup performs. We need to show whoever this was that this is not going to stop is in the slightest. I know that we have budgets for these incidents. And I am sure we can free a dock at Norfolk. I want to find whoever did this. And if they have the means to plant bombs on one of our battleships than they are probably no small fish. I need my ship and I need it fast.
We lost too much in the incident in Gallia already. The group cannot suffer more moral losses.
ENCRYPTION:HIGH PRIORITY:HIGH COMM ID: Vice Admiral Alan Jones TARGET ID: Rear Admiral Knight SUBJECT: Attack on Harmony
Rear Admiral Knight,
It is with a heavy heart to hear about the attack on the Harmony and the loss of so many lives. You have sincere condolences from the First Fleet High Command
for the lives lost in this dreadful attack. We will make sure that every victim of this attack receives a ceremony with full honors and receive their respective posthumous awards for their sacrifice.
I could not contact you earlier as I have been personally overlooking the LLS operations in salvaging and looking for any remains or escape pods as well as asserting the damage on the Harmony. It looks almost as bad or worse than what ships that have received direct hits in the front, would look like. However in this case there's more than just armor and simple circuits that need to be fixed. As the attack was internal, it managed to cause a lot of damage in the beam section of the ship, even though the explosions were witnessed on the starboard section. Such has rendered most of the bow and the bays inoperable. Whoever the perpetrator responsible for this atrocity may be, there's a good chance they knew what they were doing. I am still awaiting the final report from the engineers, before we can start the repairs on the ship.
If there's one thing about the Navy is that we care about our men. The High Command has already initiated investigations into finding the perpetrator of this attack and we will follow this through to the end. Whoever is responsible for this attack will be brought to light.
I'll see to it that your flagship is operational again as soon as possible. I believe it would be best to meet in my office planet-side in LIBNETCOM for a more detailed conversation regarding this attack.
You have the First Fleet's full support in this case Knight. Do let us know about anything we can help with.
Alan Jones
Vice Admiral, First Fleet
CO Logistics Corps
this attack was of the worst kind. I am sure that together with the LSF we will find the attackers fast. I take it that you haven't found anyone while looking through the wreckage? Luckily we had everyone that we could spare evacuated already.
I want to thank you for authorizing repairs so quickly. Once I finished talking to the LSF I will travel over to your office. I hope it won't take too long, the quicker we are up and running again the better. In the meantime I will stay in LIBCENTCOM and command from here. Captain Vance of the Chicago will lead operations in space.
