Yes, keep going guys! I wish you all only the good emotions and experience. And starting from this morning I will get back to studying, attempting to design a turbofan eng8ne based on CF6-80... In a week.
Thanking Alley and participants for this charge of fun and amusement once again, I have fully enjoyed what our game offered us.
We broke a long time record in global player numbers yesterday. Disco has not felt this "alive" for me in 2 years.
The convoy with 20+ ships was awesome, and had interesting rp, and triggered tense pvp.
The whole exhuberant "let's run DROP" atmosphere changed into a darker "Let's be aliens now!" and it created a dark, remarkably authentic scenario in which alien raidforces would be awakened by the traffic in Delta and would prey on them. A strong alien presence also generated interesting situations of Core-Zoners-Order either fighting aliens, or using the aliens to dispose of their political enemies.
Thank you to the Admins for making this one.
It changed a rather negative atmosphere of "QQ, ZOnerZonerZoner, deleteCore, Rage" to something constructive that I would say is widely received as cool.
I would suggest - for a follow up event - to give something to Core, who atm moment got the short end of the stick (but also do not lose anything at the moment by the event). I would suggest a "positive" task (of reinforcing their defenses? Digging in?), not a "intercept and destroy" (except if Core wants that actually). I would say talking to Lyth is the way to find out which way they want to go.
Great job!
These events are the way to make Disco feel dynamic and give "real" reasons to log, play, interact.
We're looking into it for the Core side of things. The thing is, whatever happens here is not part of a grand preplanned event, we're following the stream of events same as everyone.
The objective isn't to push an event that's like "hey core go kill zoners", but rather be supportive of players and let them decide how they want to impact this roleplay.
We'll provide possibilities for everyone's fun, but the administration will not steer this roleplay. That of course doesn't mean we won't act on blatant rule breaking or people attempting to ruin things.
Shame, i was outside at work all day yesterday and couldn't participate in that event.
I am glad to hear that the server activity hit the max yesterday and i hope it become like that always.
Also i wonder what is going to happen when Core destroy Freeport and leave nothing but Core in these systems? are they gonna interact with them shadows there?

The events are still in effect though, as you can see on the bars on the right side of the website, and on the server events tab on top.

As if any station was ever destroyed because of a conflict? Well maybe bar that station in Alberta, but I think that was never due to player actions. I don't think you have anything to worry about, the Freeport will remain to be most likely if not definitely.
