I have been looking for ways to improve the game looks lately. That swag pack is too dark for my linking so I lurked more and found this thread. Its stated admins gave the green light about all those files so I just decided to try.
Here are the files I have been adding recently, from what I could gather :
FL_HD_Asteroid.zip.flmod
HD_Textures_1.2.flmod
Freelancer HD Starsphere pack v2.flmod
I was already using starpheres since a fair while, along with some custom nebulas coming from another mod (Crossfire, I think), and never had any issue with those so I guess they are not what caused the issue.
After having installed that stuff, I noticed an issue about asteroids close to me disappearing in Omega 5. Tried fixing that by taking the content of the Vanilla Asteroids or Nebulas folder and overwriting everything on the working version. Didn't seem to have fixed the thing and I kinda shrugged it off, being rarely in Omega 5 anyway, telling myself I'd fix that later.
Anyway here are all the files I did overwrite (keeping those modifs in an archive so that I don't have to do all the process again if I have to format) :
I -think- the Solar/Nebula files come from Vanilla Discovery install, but I'm not certain. I did this a few weeks ago and don't remember everything I did.
Regardless, I'm sorry for the mess. My intent was not to gain some advantage against others or anything like that.
Let me know if I can add anything to prove my good faith. I'd add screenshots but I'm not sure they would be good at proving anything.
Been trying to remember what I did two weeks ago, without much luck. I'm not sure how I messed this up. Perhaps I overwrote SOLAR\NEBULA with the files from the ASTEROIDS folder or the files came from an outdated version of Discovery. I'm keeping a copy of Disco in the 'Discovery 4.88.1 - Vanilla' folder, that's where I took the files to overwrite. Now I think about it, it's possible the files in the vanilla folder are not up to date.
It's also possible I installed others mods too. Been two weeks, hard to tell.
Anyway, looks like I did this swag pack test followed by custom tweaking the fifth of this month. The 'Stuffz_2.7z' archive is where I stored all the files I would be adding.
I could upload it for you guys to check or perhaps an admin could use team-viewer to look at what's on my computer? Letting me log once to verify I trigger the same way the anticheat would prove I didn't modify my install before you verify what you have to.
Apart that, I'm clueless about how to prove I did not do this with malicious intent.
We have reviewed the hits involved and the files you pointed out. Needless to say, we suggest you adjust your current approach to testing so that it does not involve the main installation with which you connect to the server with.
Please do a complete reinstall of both your vanilla freelancer and the mod before accessing the server again.
