Sender: Marietta Mercante Recipient: Jean du Frobeige Topic: Weapon Tests
Very well, Signor. The ship is allowed to proceed into the Orbit of San Remo in Omicron Tau. A demonstration of the ship's destructiveness shall be permitted to be carried out upon the surface of San Remo's barren moon, as we 'ave no interest in potentially interfering with the animal and plant life on San Remo in case the planet ever becomes useful for us. Position the ship on the night side of San Remo, in order not to endanger the nearby Genoa Base, and proceed to your 'earts content using the moon as target. Any and all recordings are, of course, appreciated. If a time is provided, it might be possible that a Councilman or woman might see fit to accompany the ship and witness.

Due to internal issues the Nation of Malta is ceasing all cooperation on your project. Your access to the planet San Remo is revoked. Sadly, signora Mercante did not have an authority to negotiate on such matters even from the National Council, that is now gone. Maybe for the reason of her being a gaul she was such soft and malleable. To cut it in short, you better go, before something bad happens to you.
With all due respect and forgiveness, but our weapon tests were completed before you sent your message. Project BONAPARTE is completed and there is no need for further assistance at this time. It is however regretful to hear of Signora Mercante. Pity really as Lord Felanis wished for her to be present at these tests.
If you wish for the relevant data on these tests, you 'ave but to ask.
If you want to keep your good relations with Malta, I hardly suggest you to start work on unmounting the weapon systems off your ship. Don't you think that they will work with more than 10% efficiency without a constant technical service anyway?
Again with all due respect, if you wish to make such a request, I will not be able to follow through with such. You will need to discuss such with Lord Felanis, and he has requested to not be disturbed for the next few hours as he is enjoying a much deserved bottle of Domaine de la Romanee-Conti 605 A.G.
As his confidant, Oui, We do wish to continue good relations with Les Malta. I'm sorry. But this degree of a request can only be handled through him.
You see, this is on my problem who's this up to. You have your orders, you are free to inform lord Felanis or whatever else to have it implemented. Small tip, I generally dislike to wait, so you better do it quickly.
No? Well, this is not something I would like to hear. I will ask you two questions just to clarify the situation:
1. You do realize that at this point you are stealing Maltese weapon systems?
2. You do realize that stealing the weapon systems will lead you to become a criminal and the enemy of Malta?
I wish to give you a fair warning and make sure that you are giving yourself an account of what is happening, before I will pull the trigger.
