I knew when I saw Duvelskes @"-D-" Appeal Thread there was going to be trouble and then all of a sudden, said person was unbanned. Without so much as a notice their appeal had been successful? Funny how the appeal thread was also deleted?
I would like to know whose idea was it to unban someone that was part of the BassHunters, someone so toxic to this community that unbanning them unleashed a malignancy that nearly killed the server again!!
Are we forgetting the damage these b@stards did to the server last time?
Why are they being given second chances to do the same things again?
What is most worrying was the sneaky way in which Duvelske was just unbanned / allowed back into the community without so much as a thread to announce it.
Please for future reference all DPC and Bass Hunters members that attempt to rejoin the community, NULLIFY THEM INTO OBLIVION!!
or make me an [ADMIN] I will show you what nullifying is!!
I am very peed off with that sneaky action its vile.
I know that before Duvelske was unbanned, the actions of GamerGirl were outspoken but were kept in check apart form all the noise about sieging Reutlingen everything was fine.
The second Duvelske is added into the mix, things go to pot!
I guess you should have anticipated this before he was unleashed again? But why didnt you,
As an admin team you need to be more harsh with malevolent individuals and stop giving them 6 month bans. The concept of Banned Definitely rather than Indefinitely, is a real option here.
first you poke at the chance to get a free cloak from the issue with me,euro and clavius in your kirk last night and now you indirectly ask for admin??!!?
DUDE seriously its not nice to laugh at a possible 500 mil loss to a beyond rare accident but you just seem to be poking at things for a chance of power or self gain :|

Conclusive your loss of someone elses cloak is your own fault and is laughable when you are given a cloak to hold then you go PVP with it still UNMOUNTED in your cargo and then suicide afterwards only to then wonder why you lost it.
I dont need a free cloak and I never made any attempt to get one.
Stick to the topic in the title or dont bother me with your whims!
BW, you are ranting about a situation you are misinterpreting right now. Regarding the appeal thread: All appeal threads were moved to Player Requests after we scrapped the Appeal system. It was not deleted, it (like all other player requests) is invisible to non-staff members.
Simply put, @Duvelske , both player and forum account, were always ''banned''. His recent appeal was denied, but it was @"-D-" - his alt account, that the recent post was posted from, a forum account created for the purpose of posting the appeal thread and nothing else. Apart from that, the only reason why the -computer- associated with the player was not banned, was due to it belonging to @GamerGirl who is, as far as we are currently aware of, his fiance and at first, uninvolved in what transpired in the DPC era.
Messy as this situation is, the true issue here is that it is hard for the staff (and community) members to shake the feeling that there are potential moments where, honored or not, the player in question still has access to the game server. With or without the knowledge of their wife. At this point, however, whether or not Duvelske was unbanned or not carries very little meaning as the events that have transpired in the last few weeks has been, quite possibly, the result of more than two people with access to the level of software needed to not only screw with our anticheat, but also bypass the current countermeasures that are used to insure server bans.
If you, however, need a TL;DR version, it is that the players involved have always had the needed tools to do this sort of disruptive actions on our server, but did not do so for the sake of @GamerGirl who was considered at that point a member of the community and faction leader.
A member which we voted on and chose to ban due to the context of what has happened in the last few weeks, starting from the destruction of the GMG station, to skype threats given to the owners of said bases, to the hack-killing of LIS as well as (possibly) the subsequent forum attack. The ban on @GamerGirl was carried out of a mix of realistic view that we could not risk the compromise of the community just because of a member who might have potentially not been involved in this issue - we had to (try) to cut the player's access off from the server being one, while the other was that we as the staff were inclined to interpret the situation as the player involved deliberately trying to hide behind a, presumably, innocent player because they thought we would not carry out sanctions against them.
The situation does not seem to be helped by the fact that it is one person's word against anothers, not to mention that the implied ''fix'' to all of this would be to give into the demands of the hackers and reverse the ban. So that would be the current situation.

I read every word!!
Thanks for the clarification, you can lock the thread please.
