After a while of working on her various experiments, she needed to take a break and recharge her mind. Thinking of the same problem in the same way for months had her stagnating. Finally deciding on how to spend her time, she sent out a signal to her brother, Jack Daniels, the guildmaster:
Jack, personal message. Do you think we can get together? Been missing you. Maybe you can help out with a problem since it's for the Core. But for now, taking a break, thought if you had time I'd spend it with you.

Daniels was leaning back in what used to be Gabrielle's throne-like recliner.
The huge office featured an equally impressive vista, which explains why the almost-man had been starring out of holo-walls for the past four hours.
He really needed a distraction and it came in the form of a message from his sister.
When the comm unit pinged, he swiftly typed in a response.
"Hey sis, long time no see. It's good to know you're still alive.
Let's meet up at my new office on Alabama. I can also show you a few new prototypes we're working on.
Actually, that might require a hazard suit, antirad meds and some screening tech, yeaaaah...let's just meet up and talk.
It would be counter-productive to loose another family member.
Heh, I'll prep some booze, bring something to eat. Feel free to pick whatever you want. I'm having...difficulties ingesting food.
And uh, don't keep me waiting."
Focusing more on research and science, but still able to fight, she kept herself from the battle by heading towards Alabama in her little ship. She had packed some of her plans, simple data. Once on Alabama, she sent out another message.
"Okay, I'm here. You'll have to tell me about your new difficulties."

Still in his chair when his sister arrived, Daniels lifted his head up from his research and smiled at the woman.
"Ah, finally. I almost got worried for you, figured you'd took a wrong turn somewhere
This seems to be the case with many people, as of late.
But I digress, how are you doing?
I imagine you've been busy with your research as usual, which means the both of us could use a break and go bash some skulls in.
I've a fresh batch of order prisoners that need interrogating.
Ever since I got this cybernetic body, it's been much easier to break them...literally.
Right, look at me rambling again...let's have a drink."
Jack pulled a bottle of whiskey and two crystal glasses from under his desk and filled them almost to the brim .
"Good thing they made this body as they did, as close to the real thing. I can actually taste alcohol.
Can't get drunk, though. Actually, I couldn't do that before the upgrades either. Guess I got so used to alcohol that I never really drank any water...oh well."
"Well, no drinking when I''m working, and you know I'm always working. But I got to thinking about a few things. One of them being a mind link so we could do some private communication. The problem I've been having is that I'm thinking in circles. So some distractions might be nice."
Walking around to him, she flops in his lap and sighs. "You ever consider that some of the AI's out there might want a body like yours? Or are their ships their bodies? I mean, how do they perceive themselves? That could be a thing to look into while we're interrogating the Order. Hell, they might even know."
