Before I forget it, please keep in mind to treat this situation with secrecy. I trust that your friends are reliable, but I think it was already a bad idea to open talk about the Lane Hackers in Manhattan's orbit. Who knows who might have listened to it.
So, we better try to be prepared for anything. Invite as many Freelancers as you can, money isn't a problem for this operation. I gave it a second thought, though, and think it is better if I don't do this as official representative of OSI, thus I rather hire additional escorts external instead of asking for OSI escorts. So, you can call me Kyu for this little mission.
The details are as following: We meet at 16:30 UTC at Manhattan. We will begin with the search in the Magellan system. Standard search pattern. We will start from the Freeport there and check every single map quadrant for anything that could be a hint. The same later in Galileo. Be prepared for resistance, as I believe they will notice a group of people that is searching for them.
[LN]-John.Mayer: Only thing we know is, that there's a base somewhere in Magellan.
Elijah.Bishop: As far as I know, there are also rumors about one In Galileo.
The payment for the job will be 5.000.000 Credits per Freelancer if you can ensure that my ship will stay in one piece. Additional to that, I'll pay an extra sum of 3.000.000 Credits per any Lane Hacker ship, or other pirate that tries to get in our way.
if I'm used to one thing, then it's to keep stuff secret, so don't worry about this issue. I agree though that talking about the mission in Manhattan's orbit wasn't the smartest move by our side. Let's just hope we won't get ambushed tomorrow, right?
Regarding the size of the escort, I will have another look through Liberty tomorrow if I can find any other skilled mercenaries who might want to hop in last-minute. For now, 3 of us will be available. Nick (Callsign "LunaWolf"), Sarah (Callsign either "Chrysaetos" or "Heliaca") and me.
I guess we should indeed be prepared for some resistance to say the least. Still, we shouldn't take unnecessary risks if possible. This is a reconnaissance mission after all, no full-scale attack. But be assured, we will give our best out there to keep you safe.
In the aftermath of the operation yesterday, I would like to thank you once more for the deal you made with us. It has been much fun for everybody, and - if I might add this - you're honestly one good employer to work with as a Freelancer. There are much, much worse.
We also hope the information you gathered about Hacker installations will help you and the Zoners to finally find ways to avoid contact with them in the future.
Anyways, if you should need help from an independent band of mercenaries anytime soon, may it be a convoy or another undercover mission, you can call us in anytime.
It's always a pleasure to see your dyed hair, Miss Voigt.
As for now, I sadly have nothing to offer for you. But I assure you I will contact you as soon as I have use for you. That shouldn't be too far in the future. I take it you will remain in Liberty for the time being? Seems like you have a room on Trenton, or at least go there often.
The data I was able to gather with your help will significantly improve our chances to avoid the Lane Hackers, now that we know where they base off from. I'm sure there is more out there, maybe in Colorado, Texas or even New York itself, but we will find a way to deal with that.
I bid you a nice day. Take care of yourself. I need you in your best shape the next time I call for you!
Yes, Trenton kinda became my home over the months, especially since the bars there offer some fine drinks. Also, it has quite a huge hangar, so I can always park my shippies there.
Speaking of which, it's actually good you don't have anything for me at the moment, as it will still take a few days to get my Sabre work again. Apparently, it's not only the engine that will need a complete overhaul as soon as possible. Pretty much everything is wrecked, from the hull to the onboard computer. The Hacker and the Nomad invasion in Kyushu afterwards were a bit too much for my ol' lady I guess.
Still, as soon as you need something again, you can expect to meet me hanging around in Manhattan's orbit, just like you did before.
And for god's sake, before I forget it. Please, just call me Elena, alright? I'm not used to this kind of formality.
