The Storyline Developers have been watching the events of this break between Kusari and Gallia, caused by an incident which occurred during the event Sindroms ran in Kyushu. We understand that Sindroms did not intend for this to have such dire consequences, and this event was merely designed for the enjoyment of the players.
After careful consideration, we have determined that such a break would be unsustainable. The consequences of such would in fact be damaging - militarily and economically - for both Houses beyond any necessary means. In conclusion, the Gallic response in Rishiri and other areas is not to be considered canon lore, and further GRN claims upon that system that contest Kusari sovereignty will be labeled as powergaming.
It is about the comm linked above.
It's nice to see that we get a dev statement on this and I just share your opinion. This would have just resulted in things that harm both houses but especially Gallia beyond any necessarity. Appreciated that we got this.
I would really love to see your reaction on how Gallia ends up with 0 trading partners and an economic breakdown but well, it was a fishy thing to begin with anyways. Let's not turn this into a discussion thread, if need is there all this can be taken elsewhere, never even saw a discussion involving both sides publically talking about it anyways.
On one hand, I would've voted against this were I still on the SLIS team. On the other hand, I wonder how @"Omicega" and anyone else who still cares about Gallia would've felt about losing Lorraine to the Outcasts and having them push into Lyonnais while the rest of the house fell to the Council in a matter of months.
