It baffles me how many people come in here to open their mouth when they have no idea about what's going on.
Players that didn't care about Kusari before and didn't care about Kusari after that incident, but when the opportunity to complain about something arises then they all show up.
I guess it's a lot of fun to talk bad about others, is it?
I didn't ask for the clarification and I doubt it will have any impact anyway. KuGov didn't reply to that message because it's very inactive and I am against KNF making all decisions and writing every single forum post for the Gov.
And those complaining about player driven development getting shot down have no idea as well.
The entire Kusari Civil War was decided and developed by players and see how well that went.
If you think about it, the Kusari Civil War wasn't very interesting since one side could not use Battleships. A house war is much more to everyones taste.
I think if Player inRP Consequences have no impact on lore or if player lore is retracted because the devs dont like where it is going then there is really no point really in asking factions to have any input at all or even having official factions, since at the grass roots of it they have no real power of influence over anything. As can be seen here.
The next installment of discovery is supposed to be called "Battlefronts"/"Battlefields"?, then by all means let us have battlefronts on all sides.
Gallia is kinda of like the Wehrmacht in its obsession of power, an unstoppable force that wanted to conquer all of Sirius. In the end they will ultimately be destroyed just like the Wehrmacht.
Point being if Gallia wants to bully Kusari around then let it do so and let Kusari respond in kind. If Gallia burns itself out then that how it should go, empires do no last forever they rise and fall.
If storylines generate activity then by all means we should have those storylines, I doubt anyone's roleplay will be hurt by this change of events. A select few here have too much power and they make it boring for everyone else.
Retracting Player RP / Lore is the worse kind of intervention any dev team can do if the RP itself makes sense.
That depends on whose RP you look at. Do you see only the GRN and KNF? Or the half a dozen trade factions that operate or transit within those two areas?
Player RP is the cornerstone of Disco but it must be considered with the bigger picture in mind. To quote a line from the Bulletproof Monk "Every man's life concerns every other man."

This is not true. At least not in my case. I don't play in Kusari at the moment but I used to be a BD| member when Shizune was leading that faction and when there were more things to do in Kusari, like 343rd. If a conflict between Gallia and Kusari started, I would make one or more KNF ships and rejoin the Blood Dragons... Maybe even move my Obstinate closer.

I think this matter has burnt out because of the time it took to actually move the civil war to more official level. Too much time actually, 343rd died before it really started.

I think the update is referring to gallia now fighting the Liberty front through Magellan, another Bretonian front as well as its current front
thats 3 fronts (if you count Manchester as another front)

I'm sorry but there is no RP done by trade ships that transit into Gallia. Speaking from experience it's just silent trading with nobody to interact with, these routes are only used by players so that they can avoid pirates in a house that has none and run decent profits. I'm going to go as far as saying that your above point is entirely invalid.
Even if Gallia closed its borders, Bretonia would open theirs through the Taus. If we went by the mentality that big changes shouldn't be allowed because of how it conflicts in the story, we needn't have even added Gallia into the mod.
My point is invalid because there is potential but no (by your own view) capitalisation? I think your dislike for Gallia may be clouding your rationale.

Uh, no it wasn't.
I was in the KU Civil War too, remember. the KU war died because 343 got too little too late, BD dominated every conversation, Samura was obstructive because of BD, Kishiro was critical to the RP but wasn't there because people were using Kishiro to make money only, people forgot to talk to Hogosha, I raged out of GC which cut the GC activity down and then some wierd retconning went on on all sides, GMG went through seven stages of loss.

I maintain a Gallic character that I put a decent amount of effort into fabricating. I have nothing against Gallia as a house, creatively it's a cool concept, practically however if we followed your logic of not doing things that would change the landscape of things, then Gallia as nice as the concept is wouldn't have made it into the mod. That's my point.
