After our little flight yesterday I figured you might be a good person to contact about some....rumors....that I'm hearing from my bar.
In short a rather large number of Order pilots have been using Freeport 9 as a minor R&R stop, which ordinarily isn't a problem. The problem is some of the stories they are telling, tales of massive nomad bases, huge armies moving across Minor. The sort of stories that chase paying customers away. What I would like, if possible, is if you could see to having a Resheph deployed to Theta, even just for a short period. You see one of the more worrisome rumors is that there is a Nomad Cruiser dwelling within the Amarus Cloud and I lack the capability to search the cloud effectively.
It's good to hear that you made it back to 9 safely.
Indeed there has been some rather significant Nomad activity lately. I'm not sure what's going to happenand I don't want to think about that now...
About the Amarus Cloud. I haven't seen any record in our database regarding any Nomad Cruiser, or any large Nomad vessel as a matter of fact, within that area. I can fly over there and do a silent scan if the Confederation is ok with my Cruiser refueling on the Freeport. Hopefully I won't find anything and you won't have anything to worry about.
Either way, let me know of your decision regarding this matter.
You are welcome to land on Freeport 9, but if you need fuel you'll need to cross the system to Corfu Base as that is our main fueling depot. And it would quell a lot of the rumors if the cloud was thoroughly scanned sooner rather than later.
I came do Theta today and did a full scan of the Amarus Cloud. Fortunately for you (and me), I found no signs of Nomad activity.
However I have found some other stuff in there. Most notably a Core-2 Freelancer base called "Sydney Station" located in Sector Foxtrot 4, right next to Planet Vespus, that apparently builds cloaking devices. The other somewhat significant I found was a wreck of what appears to be a bretonian research vessel; The identification said its name is, or was, "Fearless".
After the operation was complete I went to Corfu, where I still am, to refuel the Kebechet.
I'm attaching a full report for you.
Your report on the cloud will definitely clear some of the rumors. I almost wonder if the traffic to and from that 'Sydney Station' is what caused the rumor in the first place. I suppose we'll never know. Your quick assistance in the matter is most welcome, if you ever need anything don't hesitate to call.
