The University lecturing halls were quiet and empty, being so late in the day it was hardly surprising, most of the students had gone back to their houses or other lectures, the huslte and bustle of the first and second years could still be heard outside. William Sanders, the lecturer of the recently concluded lecture, sat at the front mulling over his notes. He was thinking about everything he had to do: Mark essays, set out the next lecture plan, write the exams up, then prepare the Interview with the Council. He had to to million things and he didn't have enough time.

Jeanne didn't appear like a Navy colonel at all, strolling around wearing a Gallic civilian outfit, her hair wasn't tied in a bun like standard Naval dress code dictated, she looked more as if she was attending some fancy event and not an interview. Jeanne continued to stroll about the halls of the University, she could understand the signs, words, and other ads sitting about, but she still somehow was losing her way. Everything in Sirius, from complicated capital ship designs down to the average person, was different, and different wasn't the most comfortable feeling. Still, a bit of discomfort wouldn't stop her from leaving a mark somewhere in Sirius, hopefully a positive one.
After a few more minutes of wandering about she approached the room where she was supposed to meet Mr. Sanders, unsure as to weather she was in the correct room or not, she peaked through quietly. At the other end of the room behind a desk she saw a man sitting behind a desk moving its souvenirs about. He wore glasses with short brown hair, a cliche College professor. Mr. Sanders? She spoke up lightly, her Gallic tone making the man's head jerk up towards her.
''Yes?'' he said looking up at this new arrival, a girl...or woman, either one. ''Can I help you? are you here for notes or?'' He was mildly confused that someone should turn up to a two hour lecture late. She had an odd accent that caught his attention, although he couldn't place it, he made a mental note to ask about it later. ''You might be in the wrong place, the lecture ended ten minutes ago i'm afriad, I can forward the readings and lecture notes too you if you like''

Jeanne made an sarcastic chuckle, but she couldn't blame the man. She did look more like a student than anything else. It's me, Colonel Francouis, you wanted an interview. Struggling to finish the sentence with her Gallic tone, she walked in towards the desk, hoping the professor would remember.
''ahhooOOHH!'' he exclaimed, half way through cocking his head to the side when he remembered. ''Yes yes yes! I'm terribly sorry!'' he said springing to his feet and coming over to her and shaking her hand vigorously ''I clean forgot you were coming this early, I ah..hmm....Please come in and have a seat'' he said letting go of her hand. ''Do you drink tea? or coffee or something?'' he said bundling his papers and books into his arms while he walked to a small room behind his blackboard.

Jeanne made startled face as the man shook her hand, his Bretonian accent made him appear even more like a cliche College professor out a movie or something. After sitting down she looked about, studying the empty lecture hall as she thought of something to say back to Mr. Sanders. You wouldn't have any wine would you? If not than water will do. She didn't expect to find much liquor at a College, but then again Sirius wasn't Gallia, maybe they had some.
''Wine?'' he said putting the last of his books away, ''Of course not this is Bretonia, and a University at that.'' He returned to the main hall where she was with a bottle of the very wine he claimed not to have, a wry smile on his face as he continued ''It would be a poor professor or a cunning student who somehow managed to smuggle wine onto the campus then get caught with it don't you think? No my lady, there is no wine to be had here'' he smiled as he poured her a glass, giveing her a small wink as he did so.

Of course not, forget I asked. Smirking as she took a sip of the wine, a bit different than the products made back home, but still decent to an extent. After taking a sip she leaned back in her chair, waiting for the professor to sit down and face her before she spoke up again. So, where do we start? She asked with a bit of optimism.
''Well'' he started. ''It's all very simple. I ask you a series of questions, you answer the the best of your ability. If you don't want to answer a question, or cannot, you can simply say so and we'll move on. The questions will mainly be about society although at some point I might ask about you. Same rules apply, you don't have to answer if you don't want to.''
He flicked through a number of sheets and papers on his desk before he produced one in particular. ''The contract. States you understand everything as I have said, and that all information is, to your knowledge, true.'' He waited for her to sign it while he fiddled about with the recorder, trying to ensure everything was as it should be.

I'll do the best I can. She said as she signed the paper and slid it back towards the professor. Whenever you're ready. She said before taking a sip from her wine glass.
