"Speak for yourself.. this is.. my first time actually being to a beach." Nicole laid down on a towel, looking over the water. "I know how to swim and all.. I've just never actually been to an ocean on a planet before. It's.. weird to me.." She'd keep hiding behind Allen, if not for her laying under the umbrella.
"Theres.. there's no squids in there are there? I've met enough space squids, don't need a water squid poking me." Nicole giggled a little, amusing herself a little. She was, however, hiding the fact that she was nervous about going into ocean water for the first time, something she was embarrassed about, being an adult.
He chuckled somewhat, amused by her fear of there being squids here. "There shouldn't be any.. though I wouldn't be too sure.." He was quite clearly musing with her, his smug grin evidence of that. He pulled off his shirt, laying down on the towel next to her.
Lindsay rushed off towards the water, splashing about as soon as she hit it. "Wheeeeee!"
Internally shrieking about an octopus, Nicole hugs Allen, having never really seen ocean life, she didn't know how to react. "I don't want a squid to poke meeee." She positioned herself close to him, feeling the sand against her skin was also a weird feeling, but that she didn't mind much since her mind was focused on the 'fearsome' tentacle being that is the octopus.
"Doesn't have to be a squid, sweetheart.."
He turned on her, lunging his fingers into her hips, letting loose with the wrath of the tickle. "Doesn't have to be an animal either!" He started laughing playfully, getting a kick out of it.
Nicole began laughing uncontrollably, squirming around. "Alleeeen you traitooooor!" She squirmed her way around, sending her hands to his sides, intent to turn the wrath back on him as she begun her revenge. "Now you get to feel it!" Trying to contain herself from laughing, clearly failing, as she tried to get the man to yield by making him laugh too much.
He started to chuckle a bit, but to her surprise, he wasn't too phased by her attempt to repay him for his actions. Instead, he lightened up on his tickling, wrapping his arms around her waist." "You little.."
He rather lightly met their lips, still chuckling somewhat.
Lindsay watched from the water, giggling as she watched the two. She splashed her way around in the water, coming out and scooping sand with her shovel.
"You know, that's a good way to get your ass kicked, I'm still tense and never did get that massage." Nicole was teasing him, she was already enjoying herself. "You know she's gunna be wanting me around more after this vacation is over. Candy, movies and thinking about getting her a necklace like mine, I'm just a trove of fun stuff for her. In reality, I haven't even done much at all." She relaxed some, looking over the ocean, still uneasy about it.
"Now that I'm down here.. I'm not sure about the ocean.."
"You're a good influence for her.. Strong.. capable.. cute in the ways that matter.. You may not have done much yet.. but that only tells me she's going to absolutely love you.."
He leaned back, watching the ocean with her. "The ocean, however.. It's all up to preference, really.. I love to go diving at times.. but I've never gone farther than waist deep here.. For now, I'm content to just let her scurry around in the shallow shallow.." He turned his head towards her slightly. "As for that massage.. I can give you one tonight.. Finally can put some of this 'elder knowledge' to use.." He chuckled.
"As long as you don't drag me to it, you know I'd have to find a way to get back at you." Nicole briefly giggled, leaning her head on his shoulder while watching over Lindsay. "Funny.. I never thought a little one like her would come to adore me. Maybe next time.. we can have a proper stay at my families estate on New Tokyo, it's a beautiful place. Just don't mind the little room I turned into a dojo, good for practice, you know. Besides, the lush meadows, the beautiful scenery, she'd love it in Kusari."
"I'm sure I'll get you out there sooner or later.."
He watched Lindsay with her, rubbing her shoulder with his thumb. "We'll make it a plan, then.. I'm actually kind of curious what this place looks like.."
Lindsay was building a makeshift sand castle as they talked, complete with walls and even a small flag she'd pulled from her backpack. "Daddy, Nikki! Look!" She had the most giddy face a six year old could manage, and yet it was still bigger.
