So I followed the guide on net framework and legacy components and stuff. I also installed both the freelancer .ISO and Discovery as administrator, yet disco refuses to start in windows 10 for me
have you tried using dx9 from the enb mod? or similarly have you tried not using it (I don't remember if it's in the disco installer) . Also have you played around with the compatibility settings for the .exe (xp sp2 or sp3 maybe)?
Anti-virus acting up? (I've got my whole disco folder on my exclusion list)
Have you done a restart since installing the legacy components and everything else?
These are some of the things I encountered using win10^
Please make sure you have taken the steps described in THIS tutorial. Also make sure you are launching the game via the launcher.

PSA: If you have been having stutter/FPS lag on Disco where it does not run as smoothly as other games, please look at the fix here: https://discoverygc.com/forums/showthrea...pid2306502

Next thing, if it still not starts, start it with the compality mode of windows 7.
Check the legacy components again, and open the second folder and make sure it's really installed.
Edit: Try to start the freelancer server, if something is missing, it will tell you what is missing and why you can't start it.

Thank you, this is what I needed to do, i clicked the legacy components and Netframework 3.5 but didn't realize you have to install everything in the drop down folder as well, thanks, that solved it.
