Nice to see someone enjoys the Council and yes, many things are just not getting enough care at all, one day of devotion for Gallia would solve it.
It has been like this for years.
Those of us that have been here quite a while (Gallia) have been used to it.
We still can't get the mining turrets for the Tournez (we go to Nagano for them)

btw can we make the jumpgates open faster? It's kinda slow and with bigger ships like the valor or redemption you're ramming it until it opened far enoguh
Will Gallic systems get the Newcastle treatment? It wasn't a huge change in Newcastle but it definitely mattered, I feel like Gallia needs some of that.. with it's unnecessarily large systems and countless bases..
It's a known issue that hasn't been fixed yet due to the number of bases that would need to be done. But we could fix restart bases at least.

Editing the animation to speed it up causes crashes for some reason. It's possible the animation will have to be redone from scratch if we want to make it open faster.

There's nothing official planned but I do think Picardy and Orleanais have too many trade lane junctions and could be optimized.

Having read this and read Xalrok's reply (above), I thought I would check on these oversized Gallic Systems that I regularly read about.
I have been a Gallia Player for the last 5-5.5 years and a I remember when Gallia was big (more and bigger Systems).
So I decided to check using Error's Maps (I have no reason to believe that the information in them is basically wrong).
IDF – 30k per square
Picardy - 15k per square
Orleanais - 15k per square
Dauphine - 15k per square
Burgundy - 15k per square
New London – 30k per square
Cambridge – 25k per square
Manchester – 30k per square
Newcastle – 20k per square
Leeds – 30k per square
New York – 30k per square
California – 30k per square
Texas – 30k per square
Colorado – 30k per square
Ontario – 15k per square
New Berlin – 30k per square
Hamburg – 30k per square
Frankfurt – 26.1k per square
Stuttgart - 30k per square
Munich - 12k per square
New Tokyo - 30k per square
Honshu – 30k per square
Kyushu - 30k per square
Shikoku - 30k per square
Hokkaido - 15k per square
So taking most of the Systems in each House as a comparison, how is Gallia's Systems big?

Well. It isn't really about the total area tbh, the used area in every Gallic system is larger or as large as other capital systems. Also way too many bases in Gallia. Almost in every system, every unlawful faction gets a base, which tbh makes them less important, unlike let's say, Buffalo, Trafalgar etc. Lawfuls have way too many bases too; New Paris is in fact 3 completely different bases. Many Villas, residences, battleships etc.
This is actually good but the thing is; Gallia doesn't lead to anywhere, there isn't anything beyond it so to create activity it needs a dedicated playerbase or it has to be a sellpoint. So IMO Gallia is needed to be made more practical.
Just my opinion though.
We do have a comprehensive list compiled of fixed station equipment loadouts for Gallia, but the work needed to complete that will take some time.

Burgundy was a trial version of this, and more will be done as needed.
