Iona sat down right next to Jacob and slightly leaned against him, “ORG pilots are only permitted to engage in self defense, we are no terrorists. But I think if it wasn't for the Order transmitters, it would've been even harder for us.”
"Well I can't speak for the Navy, but i can say atleast I won't shoot at you in space." She said, finally getting relaxed. "My question is, what kind of contacts are you looking to establish out here?"
"Pretty much everything we can get. If we want to engage in any time of diplomacy we need people to recognize us, someone who can say 'Hey, I've seen these guys before, they're not terrorists.' Someone who can vouch for us if we ever get in contact with the Navy, which probably won't happen any time soon, but the chance always is there." He leans forward and looks at Nicole, "I, by the way, really appreciate what you're doing here, taking the time to listen to us. I might just be right with my assumption that there still some good people around.”
"There are good people around, it's just getting harder and harder to be a good person, this sectors going upside down with all the issues everywhere. Well, I can't make any promises since I'm only a mid-command officer, but I can back you up if the Navy comes knocking." She said, looking at Jacob. "Though if I may, get a base a little farther from the from the Gallic front. They're one lane away, unless you plan on interfering, I'm sure nobody on our side would object to that."
Iona had tried to hide a short yawn, “Hey, Nicole. We got a pretty sizable Military Wing, what if we'd assist the Navy against the Gallic forces? We can bring in Fighter, Bombers and Gunboats, I'm sure that most Navy pilots would be happy for any additional gun on their side. But even if the Navy would allow us to Liberty space... There's still the LSF and LPI who would engage us... Maybe we can arrange some kind of meeting with the heads of these organizations.” she stops for a second and takes a deep breath, “but I'm asking for too much... I'm sorry Nicole, I just want to help. I thought you could talk to one of your superiors or something like that, oh I don't know.” After she had suppressed another yawn, she began to rest her head on Jacob's warm shoulder while awaiting criticism for her statement.
"It would be nice, but I'm not sure I can arrange something like that at the present moment, however I can try. I know how I might be able to talk the LSF into listening too, but not the LPI. For now, if you do take action against the Gallics, I'd recommend doing it from a distance from Liberty forces but within range. Looks good when you make a hit and run on Gallic forces without disturbing allied lines. It'd be a nice bargaining piece." She said, stretching slightly. "It'll be a bit of work but maybe we can work something to get your group legal within Liberty borders."
“If it would help to set aside any hostilities between the ORG and Liberty forces, I will order our military forces to engage Gallic Vessels, Gallic Military Vessels only that is.” Jacob leaned back again, before he laid is arm around Iona, “Your attempts really would be appreciated, by me and the whole ORG. And if you ever need our help, we'd be happy to assist you, anytime and anywhere.”
"For now let's focus on trying to set aside the differences between the ORG and Navy, since the Navy will be the biggest opponents, numbers wise. The war isn't looking good and we can use all the firepower and allies we can get, performing assaults on Gallic forces would definitely be a plus in Liberty's eyes." She said in a calm manner, her face showing she was deep in thought.
"As I said, it would be no problem to arrange attacks on Gallic Forces. I just need to know, where do you want these attacks to take place - inside or outside territory? And how will the Navy know of them?" After he finished talking, he took a small Datapad out of his pocket and typed something in. "Once I got these details, I can immediately send a message over to the Military Wing commander. "
"I can conviently place patrols, subordinates, and myself around ORG strikes, makes for good report information. The most pressing concern is securing the life lines into Bretonia, and that defense force in Magellan cuts off one of two lines. We've fortified Cortez but we need that second lane open again. Tactical strikes, hitting their supply convoys, swatting down a patrol or two, or appearing during a Navy incursion, all would be helpful. I'd just need to coordinate so I know we have Liberty's eyes watching."
