I hear you and Sunny arn't getting along.
Look, just because the Confederation put you in the big chair doesn't mean everyone else on the station is going to drop their prior claims. You're a tactful man, Jimmy.
Now we've got good relations with you both - so considerin' we're dying for you, the least you can do is come to some kind of agreement. You don't need to like Sunny to do that.
Look, racers are toughballs. They're chauvinists, they're hard as nails, they're not going to trust you on principle. Just make them feel safe and everything will relax. Give them a deck to work with, or something.
They're also major players in the greymarket sex trade and escort services. That alone should be enough to earn you some bank, if you can get in their good books.
I'll be handing the Sunny the same slap. Work it out. Don't bluster it out. He doesn't so much want the keys as a seat in the shuttle. Know that, and respect that. It's his turf too.
We'll be needin' some kinda' administrative body to sort out future disputes like this. Probably plied with large amounts of alcohol. An exotic entertainer or ten, wouldn't hurt either.
I trust you'll respect our help enough to get the picture. I'll put it like this: My men are running on fumes and low morale against navy mixed-force elements, to keep you in power, Jimmy. They're not equipped or trained for this, but they're goin' out there and dyin' anyway. If you start fightin' with the people you're hoastin', they're not goin' to be so inclined to look out for you anymore, no matter how much proddin' I give.

Yeah me and Sunny ain't seein' eye to eye,
He walked into my office like he owns the place talkin' about a deck he used to have here, well I've been here a few months and I ain't heard nothin' about no AFC bein' given anythin'. Ain't a damn thing in any logs or records on the station so he's basically blowin' smoke up my ass.
Now I respect what you guys are doin' out there, you've got stones, but we're both helpin' each other here and what we don't need right now is a buncha mooks runnin' their mouths while shootin' up the Rogues and the Junkers. Yeah, I figured Sunny would leave out that part so take a look.
These guys might be hard as nails but they're dumb as 'em too, they got marks against the Outcasts, Rogues and Junkers, all three we got just next door and one of those is part of this treaty bein' drawn up. So yeah, I ain't lookin' to increase my troubles over what I already got.
As for this administrative stuff, we got a simple thing goin' on. You guys control the system, me and the Pack keep Providence from tearin' itself apart. I 'preciate the advisin' but you gotta trust me on this, these guys ain't worth it.

Yeah. I've been hounding him over that, too.
Look, those bounties are mutual. I don't care who started the spat, but it don't mean jack to me. I'm lookin' for environments where we can avoid gettin' perforated with holes and not be dragged into other people's wars. It doesn't help if the AFC and the Congress are already balls-to-the-wall smackin' each other on the Hogosha and GMG's respective behalf's.
I'd rather try to see what fixing we can do with the AFC and the Junkers. Congress is usually keen to make-peace-not-war where they can, and I'll see how open to they are. Sunny's the wildcard. Times like this make you wish the Hogosha had never come into being, right?
As for Outcast bounties - the Maltese are presently being run by a buncha' mooks who have the audacity to shoot at even us - and we've been friends of Malta for three hundred years. I'm waitin'
for the inevitable government change, myself. Probably ain't worth worrying about what the Outcasts think of anyone, for real.
Ultimately it ain't my place to tell you what goes on in your space station. My handlers are gonna' give me the stick if stuff like this endangers the whole exercise. Y'all know what the underworld's like. We're our own worst enemy.
I don't personally get what everyone's got against the AFC as they've never been any less than handy to us - however, y'all don't get a repsheet that bleak without botched business.
I'll see what we can do. For now, we need to get that treaty on the desk so we can start crafting alibis to keep the Ratpack out of the limelight. Should be all done and drafted in the next few days,
we're just figurin' out the language. I think y'all like what we're cooking up. Should earn y'all a tonne of credits and keep your personal and institutional freedoms intact. Might even let us do away with the CoF for good, too.
An' thanks for hosting my pilots. I know they're a little rough around the edges but they're mighty fond of your hospitality.
Don't worry. We'll figure this all out. Endgoal is peace in our time amd credits in our pockets, remember?

Yeah that's the brass ring we're all grabbin' for here,
Personally, I ain't got a problem with the AFC. I know a few of 'em, done jobs for 'em and even helped one earn their fortune with a little bit of info, they're a fun bunch but they ain't smart. They run their mouths, cause hell for nothin' and hold races were no one in their right mind would fly normal.
Now that might work for them in the short, but we're playin' the long game here. I'm not sayin' they ain't welcome at Providence, hell most everyone is, they just ain't gettin' a place.
I'll let Sunny's disrespect slide this once, if he does it again...Well I can't be affordin' the lose face if Providence is gonna stay in one piece.

I wouldn't talk 'bout 'losin' face' around Sascha, considerin' the man's missing everything under his upper lips.
Yer' right - there ain't much more we can do to will all have a sit-down.
As fer' immediate matters,I'll see what juice I can get out of the Lane Hackers. Obviously we've gotta' shut that gate down if we want to have hopes n'dreams anymore. If anybody knows how to bust that chestnut without filling the system full of dark matter, they do.
I prefer not to be living of a diet of iodine and prayer.

That's soundin' good on all fronts, Ted's decided to take the direct route and is tryin' to secure a couple of those NEMP bombs just in case. Personally, I'm thinkin' of doin' a bit of political mischief and seein' if I can't get Liberty to close down the gate. It'sa long shot but if there's anythin' the suits on Manhattan care about its profits.
