I would like to inform you that during an assault on the Navy's supply lines, a nomad strike force appeared and took us by surprise. It is unclear if they defended the Navy but the only recorded casualties we have were on our side.
Either way, one of our allies has retrieved a power cell from the nomad attackers. They handed it over to us and it is currently inside a safe container in a quarantined cargo bay.
We're not ones to waste such an opportunity.
You're probably having more experience in these matters. While we have many LSF forces among us we don't really have a lot of research personnel that we can put onto a task that might not yield immediate benefit.
If this nomad cell can be used to give us an advantage in this war then I have to know it.
Your agency is free to come to Marshall and inspect the object in person.
Miss Knight, I must be very blunt as this is our standard operating procedure.
Use of Nomad technology of any kind is not to be used within the mainstream of conflicts. Its a dangerous anomaly that has the potential to devastate civilisations thanks to the lack of understanding behind the "Sciences" of Xeno-technological development. Organisations like the Order, LSF and Das Wilde have proven time and time again that a source of great power comes as great devastation that even lead to the deaths of entire star-systems.
It is with my suggestion that Battlegroup Harmony turns over the obtained power cell for containment at one of the Buro's quarantine facilities so it remains untouched for as long as we can sustain. However, Das Buro will cover the costs of the surrender with monetary compensation. A sum of $200,000,000USC (Two Hundred Million Universal Sirian Credits). If you're willing to come to some other deal, I must stress strongly that the factor of the power cell being transferred to Das Buro must be compulsory.
Please get back to me as soon as you can, this is clearly of an urgent matter.
From,
Direktor Geoff Enfield
Büro des Marinenachrichtendiensts, Oberkommando
if there is really no safe way we can utilise this cell then by all means, we'll hand it over to the buro. The amount of power it is holding would have suggested that it'd be useful to power something... or detonate it.
As I've mentioned though we don't have the development capacity or secure places to experiment.
The BDM can retrieve the cell from Marshall Station where it is still safely contained.
We will accept the monetary compensation to further enforce our position in the Independent Worlds and Liberty. Though I have to let you know that the LSF is making their move. A small attack group, spearheaded by the Lehigh has entered Bering through the Texas gate. We'll hold the system to our best ability but the Unioners are growing more aggressive despite or maybe because of their losses in Hamburg.
