Battleship De Grasse is one of the few battleships that survived the evacuation of Languedoc. The De Grasse was stationed in Orkney for several years following the fall of Reunion station to harrass Gallic supply lines and conduct raids against rear echelon installations.
Since the invasion of Roussillon and the loss of the Oblique in Provence, the De Grasse has been relocated for the Gallic theater to assume the Oblique's previous role. The De Grasse is currently moored at Cannes and receiving repair and resupply as it awaits refugees from Toulouse. Though they were not turned away, the renewed Council presence within Minarchy territory has been greeted coldly, and the command staff of the De Grasse have had to pay a pretty penny to replenish their battlegroup at the Minarchy's new spaceport.
