The Battleship Macduff was a key element of Planet Harris' defense against the Kusari Naval Forces, being the only Bretonian battleship that stayed in Tau-31 system after the Leeds Jump Gate area came under Kusari control. Following the withdrawal of Kusari's fleet when Gallia invaded the Tau systems, the Macduff was forced to pull back to the Newcastle system to bolster its defenses against flanking attacks by the Gallic Navy. As the Royalists continued their advance, the Macduff was deployed to New London for the final battle, and performed with distinction. After many years of fighting, and Nottingham and Cambridge without a battlegroup to defend it, the Macduff, together with its battlegroup, was sent to drydock in Nottingham to receive repairs and reinforcement, while the combat ready ships patrol locally.
Freshly repaired and once again fully-operational, the Macduff fleet has returned to its former position at Harris. As the terraformation resumes and refugees settle the frontier planet, Battleship Macduff serves a vital role securing a new home for millions of Bretonians.
