Bribes
Many people in Sirius are willing to help you adjust your reputations for a price. These people can most commonly be found in bars, but can be found in other places as well.
Synopsis
A bribe is an amount of money given to a representative of a faction, usually in a bar. Taking a bribe from one faction will make it and its allies more favourably disposed towards you, and its enemies less favourably disposed towards you.
Function
Bribes are commonly found on most stations and planets for almost any faction. They will increase your reputation with a faction to .6 (just barely green). The cost of a bribe depends on how much the reputation of a character must be adjusted to achieve a positive standing with the faction.
Usage
Bribes are one of the easier methods to adjust the reputation of a character, and a faction's tag can often be obtained by purchasing bribes. A factions bribes will not be available if one's reputation was positive when the bar was entered, so to obtain multiple bribes, one must wait until multiple characters in the bar are offering bribes. To purchase a bribe from a bar NPC, the character must have a positive standing with that NPC's faction.
Military factions (Liberty Navy, Bretonia Armed Forces, Kusari Naval Forces, Rheinland Military, Gallic Royal Navy) cannot be bribed, but police factions can. The best way to obtain a military IFF is by doing missions for the appropriate faction.
