The process of Hydrocarbon cracking breaks complex Hydrocarbon molecules into simpler molecules that have different physical and chemical properties. The introduction of chemical catalysts into the Hydrocarbon mixture during cracking can greatly increase the rate of molecular breakdown, thus reducing the cost of the process. Lanthanum and Palladium are both components of Cracking Catalysts used by EFL in their Hydrocarbon processing operations.
