Discovery 4.86 update

While it's important to note that 4.86 is still in beta, the process of updating the wiki's pages to 4.86 has already begun. Pages that need updating (or marking as historical) can be found in Category:V4.85 and Category:V4.85.2.

*Coding - Finish Template:Test Faction Infobox so that other servers can have their faction information on the wiki. Take care, this is an extremely delicate subject, and must be handled very gently. Old Diplomacy Template

The old [[:Template:Allies]] that was originally used for showing diplomatic standing on pages is still being used on many pages even though we have a new and better Template:Faction Diplomacy. Please look at this link for pages that need updating: [[Special:Whatlinkshere/Template:Allies]]

Alrighty, [[:Template:Allies]], [[:Template:Enemies]], and [[:Template:Neutral]] have all been changed to the proper diplomacy template, just waiting on C's and Blodo's decisions now. --Alex 13:22, 18 February 2010 (MST)

Incorrect Content

Xenos

Content suspect. Needs revision. Check if infobox matches Disco info as well.

Planets

Planet New Paris content may need to be changed to placeholder or redone. Fixed some typos but think it should just be placeholder until release. Please fix. ~Stewcool

Admin/Sysop only Jobs

  • Make the Vector theme work like the current modified Monobook one.
  • Add ShakeBot to the bots group. This is a trivial task that does not really need to be done, but we might as well have all the legitimate bots marked as such.
  • Delete unused files that we shouldn't really need to keep.

Factions

  • Add their ID to the NPC factions pages. Probably in a "See also" heading.
    • Thought: Add a spot to one of the relevant templates (NPC faction, faction infobox, something like that) rather than adding ID to the end of an article. Sovereign 13:02, 24 November 2009 (MST)
  • Fix the hardcoded ugly white background on player faction diplomacy charts
    • I did Liberty, Bretonia, Kusari, and Gallia just now. Rheinland, Hispania, and the misc. still need this done to them. Sovereign 14:07, 24 November 2009 (MST)
    • Further update. I have fixed all official player faction pages, and all NPC pages I checked were already done. I believe this is done now. Sovereign 16:28, 27 November 2009 (MST)
  • Add the link to their threads on the GC Forums to factions pages. Probably in a "See also" heading.
