This vessel is amongst several new developments by engineers claiming to work for a resurgent Coalition.

Like other Coalition vessels, the Insurgent follows a minimalist philosophy, being very economic and efficient in its construction materials. It does find itself in a comfortable middle ground with its simple, yet effective use of its machinery, allowing it to function as a reliable multi-role fighter.

Few witnesses survive encounters with such vessels, those lucky few that do have dubbed the Insurgents 'Fiends', for the demonic nature of their attacks.
