The Liberty Rogues
Before he joined the Coalition, Jayce Brooks was a rather infamous Greyhound pilot in the Liberty Rogues. He was known for his lightning fast strikes against single Navy ships, before hoofing it back to Padua or Buffalo Base.
He was offered multiple positions in the more "official" bands of the Liberty unlawfuls, including Sylpheed's Rogues, the Vagrant Raiders, as well as a few of the other less official groups of criminal organizations.
Much of Jayce's history prior to his joining the Rogues is unclear at this time, however it is known that Jayce served as a janitor aboard the Ageira transport ATS "Durham" before he quit due to the terrible salary he was receiving at the time, thus allowing Ageria to lose yet another employee.
The Coalition
Jayce joined the Coalition in 817 AS, at the age of 24. He had a few contacts in the Coalition beforehand - Ben Warner, the Commandante of the Fighter Corps, and Alvin Katz - The soon to be Premier, both of whom saw Jayce's rise to his current rank- Commander. As a Sub-Lieutenant, he became known as a driven individual, one who took on mission after mission into hostile space and came home alive. However his most crowning achievement was the destruction of Her Majesty's Ship "Dagobaz,", a Bretonian Privateer ship that was captured from the Kusari Naval Forces, in a Storm Gunboat without much aid from other forces. This act proved to the Coalition High Command that Brooks was capable of much more than being a simple fighter jock, and he was promoted to Lieutenant Commander, and put in command of the CPW Social Credit.
The Social Credit
The Social Credit was captained by many influential members of the Coalition - Ben Warner, Angie Broch, and Premier Alvin Katz himself. In command of the Credit, Jayce made a name for himself as one of the top gunboat aces of the Coalition, and proved himself worthy of the rank of Commander, as well as the De facto leader of the Gunboat Corps.
Awards and Decorations
Jayce Brooks has received multiple merits for his dedication and performance of his duties. His most prized single award is the Crimson Hammer, for his destruction of a Ranseur Outcast Dreadnought with only a single Storm Gunboat as well as a Revolution Bomber in reserve. He has also been declared a "Hero of the Revolution" for his dedication and skill as a Gunboat Pilot in the Coalition.
