Developed by Kishiro, the Jintsuriki is a technological showcase of what might become the scanner of the future. An array of nanofilaments forms the receptor, pushing its detecting range out to distances previously only achieved by much larger capital vessel systems, although cargo scanning range is compromised. The scanner's astronomical price prevents its use in conventional police, military or commercial applications, but Kishiro has found a stable market among well-funded researchers and wealthy tech freaks looking for bragging rights, as well as a rumored small number of purchases by intelligence agencies.
