Prince Joseph Martius DeFrance, the son of King Charles. Joseph serves, under his fathers orders, as a pilot in the Royal Navy. He enjoys his title as Prince, and tends to abuse it at certain times. However on the field he tends to be cocky, and in heat of battle tends to be serious. He known for willingly risking his life for his own men, as much as they are for him.

Recently he has awarded people the Medal of Glory.

History

Born 705 A.G.S (789 A.S.), Joseph Martius DeFrance was born into the Gallic Royal Family. He is the Crown Prince. His father, King Louis, is the King of the Gallic Kingdom. His mother, Queen Elyse III. A year later his sister, Arielle DeFrance, was born into the family.

Joseph is the rightful heir of the Crown, he is the next in line for the thrown, so to speak. He shows a high interest in Politics, as well as the Royal Navy, and was even offered a Valor class battleship by his father; however, he turned that down as he found that to be a sign of weakness in the Royal Family. The Valor was given to his sister, who Joseph considers as spoiled.

Early Life

Growing up into the Royal family was rather an enjoyment for Joseph. Instead of private schools, Joseph has always went to public schools on Planet New Paris. While holding the title as Prince, he's never actually slacked off on anything during school, and was always on time.

By the time he was eighteen years old, the Second Gallic War has been waging for six years. Moving from the openness of Public schools, Joseph enlisted himself into the Royal Navy Military Academy. Where he showed exceptional promise as a military commander for a Battleship. Within a year he graduated and was transfered to the 132nd Royal Guard, which was stationed at the Palace.

Military Career

Upon turning the age of Twenty Eight, he left Planet New Paris and headed out on deployment to the Gallic Border Worlds, were part of the Civil war was cut off from the main systems, due to a new awoken threat. His most noticeable battle was the Battle of Tournus Path, an open area of space where Council and Royal Navy fleet fought near the Tournus lane. The Royal Navy took the upper hand, their cruiser and gunboat however, were heavily damaged and had to retreat to Dijon station.

The good side of Joseph DeFrance

Those that personally know Joseph, can say that he is kind hearted and loving. These being the two biggest attributes shown towards men under his command. When he notices someone's mistake, either professional, personal, or otherwise, and they make it clear to him, by requesting forgiveness, he tends to act as if nothing happened. Which has been shown to a certain Blaise Mersenne.

Knowingly when the Prince is in a good mood, he tends to be more laid back and quiet on the communication lines, listening to the chatter, and sometimes whistling.

The bad side of Joseph DeFrance

While the Prince has a good side, he also has a bad side. Those that oppose him know how openly hostile he can be. As well as those that fly with him. Any revolutionary force he comes across, that flees or is destroyed, he laughs. It's common for him to be seen in a friendly chat with the enemy, however, that chat does lower itself to the point where Joseph just issues the kill on sight order.

A few pilots that have flown with him know when he's in a good mood, or in a bad mood. He has been known to let Sirian's and Revolutionaries go. But at other times he's been known to trick them and kill them.

It's a well known fact in the Navy and Police Forces, that Prince DeFrance has ordered people to be watched, or killed. For the smallest thing, one of which, not being respectful towards the Crown. It is not known, however, whether these orders are followed out or not. Most people believe that they are followed out.

Known Vessels

RNS Royale DeFrance -- The Royale DeFrance is Prince Joseph's own Valor. The vessel has been in the Royal Guards care since the beginning of the war. The Royale DeFrance is a rare vessel to see in battle, even though Prince Joseph is known to be a warrior prince, and a ruthless one at that, his Valor rarely sees the light of battle. The vessel has been known to make two appearances. Both during the two major battles, The Battle of Orkney (Known as the Fall of Orkney), and the Battle of Languedoc.
