Enlisted Ranks:

Flieger (Fl.):

The Flieger is the trial rank of the Rheinland Military, after passing the forum application part, the recruit automatically assumes this rank. He may equip his vessel with the [RM] tag, after obtaining the proper identification and IFF papers (example of a proper tagging is [RM]Fl.Hans.Schmidt).


Flieger Training Program

  • Fully setup Wraith (ID, IFF, Equipment)
  • 10(Ten) hours of flight time
  • Completion of three patrol reports


Ships:
Required ship: Wraith.
Allowed ship: Bergelmir.


Additional Information:

During this period, superior officers will monitor the Flieger’s performance (role play, rules knowledge, team work skills) and once the criteria is all fulfilled, the Flieger may request his promotion in the appropriate forum section, with evidence of each criteria fulfilled attached.
Your development as a Player will be monitored by the Mid-Command through your entire Tier Training programme course, and you might even be considered for Mid-Command before you even reach the rank of Fähnrich. However, you must still reach this end-rank before your entrance into the Mid-Command can formally be voted upon. The flieger have 1 month to reach the tasks of the Flieger Training Program, otherwise he will need to apply again.

Gefreiter (Ge.):

The common rank of the Rheinland Military, from which the pilot, fresh out of basic training commences his career. The primary aim of a Gefreiter is to obey the orders of his superiors and start climbing the ranking system.


The Gefreiter:

  • Possesses no special commanding privileges on the field (may only give orders to Fliegers).
  • Cannot lead Rheinland Military forces into Liberty incursions.
  • May perform patrols and engage Rheinland unlawfuls, as well as countering Liberty incursions within Rheinland, however summoning a superior officer to lead the fight is still highly recommended.
  • Cannot enter Sigma-13, Omega-7 and Omega-11 unless accompanied by a Feldwebel or above.

Gefreiter Training Program

  • One month of service since the last promotion
  • Completion of three more patrol reports (Six total)
  • Successfully pass the Rheinland Law test.

Ships:
Required ship: Wraith.
Allowed ship: Bergelmir , Fafnir.


Pilots at the Gefreiter rank are already encouraged to acquire a Bergelmir Bomber class vessel for anti capital purpose.

Feldwebel (Fw.):

As the backbone of the Rheinwehr fleet, the Feldwebel is the representation of Military might out in the field. Their primary aim is to preserve the integrity of Rheinland internally against armed opponents attacking, such being Red Hessians, Liberty incursions and members of the SCRA.


The Feldwebel:

  • Can lead patrols consistent of Gefreiters and Fliegers.
  • Can not lead Rheinland Military forces into Liberty incursions.
  • Can now enter Omega-7, 11 and Sigma-13.
  • Cannot Enter Omega-3 unless accompanied by a Fähnrich or above.

Feldwebel Training Program

  • Regular field activity
  • Completion of 6 more patrol reports (12 total)
  • Successfully pass the fighter combat test.
  • Complete a series of mission objectives supervised by a Hauptmann or higher ranked player.

Required ships: Wraith, Bergelmir.
Allowed ship: Fafnir.

Fähnrich (Fr.):

An officer candidate and the pinnacle of enlisted perfection, the Fähnrich is a master of his trade, the last rank in the enlisted category.

The Fähnrich:

  • Can not lead Rheinland Military forces into Liberty incursions.
  • Can now enter Omega-3.


Ships:
Required ships: Wraith, Bergelmir.
Allowed ship: Fafnir.


No exact requirements are outlined for promotions after the rank of Fähnrich. In order to be considered for a Mid-Command position you must be recommended either by the High-Command or the Mid-Command itself and after further evaluation you might be allowed to enter. There is no gurantee that just because your name enters a voting process that it will pass.

Flag Officer Ranks:

Leutnant (Lt.):

As a commissioned officer, the Leutnant fulfills a large portion of responsibility by serving as the leader in the field. This rank also gains the pilot acces to apply for Gunboat command training school. (This requires a formal request to the High Command to be allowed to pilot a Gunboat.
Always keep in mind that you are a mid command officer now. Be open for all pilots to address their problems. The men and women in the field are your responsibility! Keep them happy and alive!


Primary tasking:

  • Evaluation of Fliegers and mid-command members.
  • Coordinating large-scale engagements.
  • Leading Rheinland-wide patrols.
  • Organization of embargo checkpoints, escort wings, scout missions.


Ships:
Required ships: Wraith, Bergelmir.
Allowed ship: Gunboat, Fafnir.



Hauptmann (Hm.):

A Hauptmann should be able to autonomously do most of the tasks without a higher rank needed to push him forward.
In addition a Hauptmann should support all pilots when needed with aid, tips and training. Conducting combat tests and rating the results is also one task of a Hauptmann.


Primary tasking:

  • Continued evaluation of Fliegers and mid-command members.
  • Organization of trainings.
  • Organization of Liberty-raids.
  • Field diplomacy.
  • Throughout focus on keeping the Military in-game, with Liberty raids enjoying priority.


The rank Hauptmann allows the officer to apply for the cruiser command training school on Stuttgart.

Allowed ship: Gunboat, Cruiser, Fafnir.


Major (Maj.):

A Major reflects all the honor, pride and sense of duty of the Rheinland Military. This rank is the highest rank available and under direct command of the RMHC. The most promising Majors may get the chance to make it into the RMHC one day.
A Major needs to be able to organize Rheinland completely on his own while on duty. Ranging from the war efforts to the simplest trader incident in a planetary orbit.

The Formal Major ranked player is a single held position that oversees the entire Mid-Command and acts as the primary mentor for Leutnants.

  • All High command members are highly recommended to set up a Major character, which has an equal authority to a Vizeadmiral on the field.
  • Inactive High command members automatically assume this rank until they find time to deal with High command issues again (and they prove to be worthy additions to the HC again following an evaluation period).
  • Trial rank for potential High Command members.

Ships:
Required ships: Wraith, Bergelmir.
Allowed ship: Gunboat, Cruiser, Fafnir.

Access to Armory accounts. A Major can also be part of the High Command.

High Command Ranks:

Vizeadmiral (Va.):

A Vizeadmiral is part of the Admirals closest staff. They are responsible for tactical decisions and a key figure in every command bridge on the Rheinland battleships.
This rank gives the authority to command ANY Rheinland military pilots if needed.


Faction sub-leaders, high command members. Should be self-evident.

Titles:

- Generalleutnant: Field wing leader. - Generalmajor: Chief training officer.


Ships:
Required ships: Wraith, Bergelmir.
Allowed ship: Gunboat, Cruiser, Fafnir.

Access to the shared Battleship.



Admiral (Adm.):

A Rheinland Admiral is the head of command. They are responsible for various parts and systems of Rheinland. All tactical decisions, promotions, demotions and accepting new recruits are being signed by them. The Admirals are under direct command of Kanzler Rheinhardt himself.


The Rheinland Military has an old tradition by not having an extra Fleet Admiral rank. One of the Admirals is entrusted to be the personal military aide of the Kanzler. This position entitles this Admiral with the complete command about the whole Rheinland fleet in the name of the current Kanzler.


One Admiral is the Faction leader.
