History

Born on Planet Kyushu.

When he turned 18, he left to attend college at the School of Global Studies at Tama University. Shortly after moving into his one room apartment and getting settled in, his sister (Yuri Takanashi) requested that he watch her and her husband's (Shingo Takanashi) three daughters and house while they went away on a trip. Soon after arriving at the home, they left on their trip, however, they never came back. Their plane crashed before making it to their destination. The three daughters, Sora Takanashi, 14 years old, Miu Takanashi, 10 years old, and Hina Takanashi, 3 years old, were left without parents. Needing someone to take care of them, the family proposed a different family member each take one of the daughters and raise them. With none of the daughters wanting to be separated, and with Yuuta Segawa being unwilling to let this happen, he proclaimed he would take the girls with him. However, he was met with heavy opposition from the family, he had only a one room apartment, and minimal income, how could he possibly care for three more people?

This did not deter Yuuta, he and the three daughters left early the next morning to live with Yuuta in his apartment. The family awoke to find all of them missing. With him having to now support 3 people, he had to take even longer hours at his job. On top of this, he was just starting his first year of college, and was attempting to start a relationship with a woman attending the same college, Raika Oda. Difficulty and trials were not shy to raise their head, in Yuuta's life. However, regret was a rare emotion to him as well. Raika and Yuuta grew close, and Raika fell in love with the three girls. She helped take care of the girls alongside Yuuta.

After many months of working long hours to barely scrape by, dealing with various problems that arised with the girls, and essentially being a second father to them, Yuuta got a very significant phone call. The family offered to move Yuuta, Sora, Miu, and Hina back into their old home, and help support them financially. Yuuta Segawa accepted the offer. Even Yuuta's now-girlfriend, Raika Oda, moved in with them, things were starting to finally improve.

A year later, he left the girls to more fully dedicate his time on finishing college. Raika agreed to stay and look after the girls while Yuuta was away, with the promise that when he returned, she could pursue her degree and he would stay to look after them. His life for the next three years were a mix of study, part-time work, and missing what he left. After these three years were over, he had his Bachelors Degree in Corporate Finance. As he was preparing to start his final year of college to attain his Masters Degree in Corporate Finance, he was notified that the financial support from the family was going to stop. Realizing the lives of "his three daughters" and girlfriend were more important than his own educational endeavor, he went back home, giving up on his Master's Degree.

Career in Interspace Commerce

With what little money he had saved up from his part-time job dwindling to keep food on the table, he looked to find a full time job. Yuuta was informed by his friend, Nimura, who had been flying a small freighter for credits, that Interspace Commerce was hiring Trans-Sirius Transport Captains, and that the pay was good, even if it was by commission. Yuuta, having never even been off the ground of Planet Kyushu, decided to give it a shot. He submitted an application to join IC| and was accepted. He arranged for his friend Nimura to take him to Otemachi Trade Annexe, where he received his ship and began his career. Yuuta quickly learned how to fly the ship, and became quite skilled in the trait of space flight. He worked his way to being the best transport captain in IC|, and earned more credits than he thought possible. He even earned enough to buy his own ship, a Bison, which he christened the "IC|Kazoku" in honor of his family. He moved his family back on Planet Kyushu into a lovely two story mansion, and supplied them with all that they needed and more.

However, Yuuta's career in Interspace Commerce did not stop there. Soon, due to his productivity and education in corporate finance, Yuuta was promoted to a director on the IC| Board of Directors. His skills proved useful in this position, and his work as a director accelerated Interspace Commerce to new levels. After about a month, the CEO of Interspace Commerce, James Buckmaster, resigned from his position and the then-Vice President, Jacob Wells, took over as the new CEO, leaving the position of Vice President open. Yuuta Segawa took advantage of this opening, and stepped up to the plate of taking this position. After an interview with Jacob Wells, Yuuta Segawa was promoted to Vice President.

Yuuta Segawa currently helps run Interspace Commerce's daily operations, as well as plans and executes future goals for IC|, from his office on Otemachi Trade Annexe. His girlfriend Raika Oda and daughters Sora, Miu, and Hina live in luxury on Planet Kyushu thanks to the hard work of Yuuta.
