{{Review|[[User:TLI-Inferno|TLI-Inferno]]|The "Valor" Gallic Battleship is extremely effective.  Its forward gun acts like a Heavy Mortar, except that it costs significantly less energy to fire, and has a higher projectile speed.  The ship has good overall firepower, 10 secondaries to counter smaller ships very well, and 6 primaries and 4 heavies to effectively deal with any larger ship.  The shape of the valor allows for effective vertical strafing with turning, allowing for easily dodging, granted that you are at an appropriate range.

The heavy turrets can only fire forwards, but this is no weakness as you will rarely "kite" with this ship.  Your enemies will be running, and with all of your heavy turrets and your forward gun, you can fill their engines with fire.  I personally advise using 8 gallic secondary turrets for fighting off smaller ships.  These are especially important against gunboats and smaller cruisers.  I also suggest 2 flaks, as slots 4/5 (your 3rd and 4th secondary turret slots).  I suggest a full 6 battleship primaries, and for your heavies, you'd be safe with a Heavy Trebuchet to help your forward gun with sniping, and 3 Cerberus turrets.|4.86}}

{{Review|[[User:Thunderer(wiki)|Thunderer(wiki)]]|The Valor is probably the best battleship in combat versus another battleship. She has 4 heavy turrets, 1,350,000 armor points, she can strafe well up-down and, most importantly, she has the Gallic Battleship Forward Gun. The GFG is your best defense against smaller battleships, which are harder to hit with other guns. It is because it uses an entirely different aiming system. It doesn't use the little, red crosshair which shows you where the target will be when your shell reaches it. The gun doesn't move, it is stationary. The ship is the gun. Imagine the Valor as a huge rifle - that's how you should aim it. When you strafe upwards, just fire the GFG where you pointed the ship and it will pass trough, or very near that place. If you strafe downwards, although this is not a recommended moment to fire the GFG, fire it one and three quarters of your aiming circle above the target. If you're standing still, fire it about three quarters to one circle above. However. Yes, there is always a however, unfortunately.

The nanobot/shield battery capacity is quite low, only by 6,5% greater than the one of the Dunkirk, the Bretonian battleship, your equally classed opponent. That may seem as a downside. However.

This "however" is not one of those "howevers". You can compensate your lack of repairs by strafing up-down. I have almost always managed to emerge victorious against other battleships, many times with more than half my hull against higher-average skilled Dunkirks and Liberty Dreadnaughts.

Cruisers and destroyers are a bit harder to deal with, but possible. Use your secondaries and go backwards every time the cruiser gets far. It will have to face you in order to come closer. When it does and gets close enough, just charge and repeat the action once the cruiser gets far again.

As the enemy ship classes go lower, lower go the Valor's defensive capabilities. Namely, she's quite weak against bombers. If you mount 3 flaks (flaks must cover 360°) needed for Nova deflecting, you'll have only 7 plain secondaries left. Combined with the Valor's huge size, it makes a rather easy target for bombers.

Except PvP, this is also a fairly good ship for RP. The valor somehow makes you feel unstoppably mighty, proud, and arrogant, as Gallia itself. Oh, and don't forget to carry some wine on board! How would the crew cheer up in their free time?|4.87}}

Prior to the gathering of truly viable information on the capabilities of the four houses of Sirius the engineers of the Royal Navy were left with the task of crafting a vessel capable of repelling an unknown force of unknown capabilities. They chose the path of brutality.

Peerless within Sirius for their technological amenities, bombardment capabilities and enduring fortitude, the Valor is the result of nearly unlimited resources poured into the concept of overwhelming security. Review (4.87)

The Valor is probably the best battleship in combat versus another battleship. If you're standing still, fire it about three quarters to one circle above. However. Yes, there is always a however, unfortunately.
