Commissioned in 739 A.S., the Battleship Yukon has been patrolling the California system for nearly eighty years. It was originally scheduled to be decommissioned in 805 A.S., but a campaign by the residents of Los Angeles a year before its removal from active service, sponsored by Synth Foods, resulted in the Yukon being sent to Norfolk Shipyards for a complete overhaul, extending its operational lifespan until at least 825 A.S.

The Battleship has been an integral part of the Liberty Navy's efforts to keep the Lane Hackers and Liberty Rogues under some semblance of control within the system, with limited successes to date. Most patrols start out at the Yukon before heading into Magellan, Cortez and occasionally Ontario, to assist traders and put down the unruly pirates from the independent systems. The current commander of the Yukon is the newly minted Flag Captain Luke Sensicle.
