The Asylum, was displayed as a mental correction facility with high recommendations from renowned doctors, but the situation inside the walls of the asylum could only be described with one word...Hell. Under their well kept disguise the Asylum owners used it as a labor camp and a facility where they could experiment on human subjects without limitations.

Jediah was selected to be a guinea pig in the field of experimental mind altering substances, that have never been tested, probably synthesized just before the tests. He was kept in a constant state of trance, where the world around him was distorted and senses wouldn't function properly. The hell that this asylum was, looked even more frightening, he was losing his mind more and more with each passing day. In some short moments of soberness, he could see a small town through his cell window, he could see the happiness of the people below, and he was angry. He swore that he would first take his revenge on those who imprisoned him, and then, on the towns folk that were enjoying their lives, while he was suffering.

In the total absence of hope, sinking deep into his own hell and nightmares, he was suddenly sober. He could see clearly, he saw the exit, he saw an opening, and he used it. He slaughtered his jailers, his tormentors, drawing a twisted level of pleasure from it, he used every object capable of killing, glass fragments, needles even his teeth, it didn't matter, he just had to get make them pay and get away. Finally, he could get to the main gate and escape into the desert, heading for the small town, seeking shelter.

Early times

Jediah was born on Buffalo base, as a son of a lowly Liberty Rogue, and grew up in a life full of tension, immorality and harassment. He was tasked with cleaning ships and the base corridors and with all sorts of manual tasks. No-one payed attention to the little Jediah, thinking off him as a slow little kid, while in truth he was growing to be a man more and more every day. He was never expected to earn his wings, and was intended to live on the base for the rest of his life, doing hard manual labor. His life carried on like this all until he murdered his father by tying him up to the bed and pouring water in his mouth until he drowned, a consequence of long years of abuse which he wouldn't take anymore.

After this he was immediately accepted as a Rogue with no remorse, which he in truth didn't have. Long years of abuse and hard life on a rock full of criminals hardened him, making him worse than most. He was taken into training by some older Rogues, learning all skills that he would need to survive as a pirate - intimidation, extortion and fast getaway in case of retribution from the law.

Alcohol, Drugs and Sin

Continuous plunder under high risk is profitable. Profit brings respect, profit is money, money buys everything, even lives. This is the code Bayne was taught to live by. All emotion except for jealousy, envy and rage never played a larger role on Buffalo. To steal from those who had more than you, to kill those who you disliked, it was a way to progress, through the ranks, become feared and respected.

Not always looked at with grace from his underlings, there were many failed plots to remove him, but one of them had to eventually succeed. So was the case, when Felix Morrow, his right hand got bold enough to sabotage his ship, and make a deal with a questionable private asylum to capture him. Not suspecting anything at the moment, Jediah was easily captured and transferred via a prison ship, to an Asylum located deep in the desert mountains of Planet Houston.
