LTS logo.png Overview

Description

Liberty Trade Shipping was founded in 819 A.S. by former employees of Interspace Commerce. They are affiliated to Interspace Commerce one of the biggest corporations in Liberty. However, in contrast with Interspace Commerce, Liberty Trade Shipping does not provide banking services. Their operations center around becoming a main provider of shipping services from Liberty to the houses of Bretonia and Kusari. With this driving goal at the forefront, the headquarters of LTS was constructed in Kusari space. This has proven to be a successful venture for their growth. It is believed that LTS have the intention to build a new trade center in Bretonia in the not so distant future. With their origins in the Republic of Liberty, Liberty Trade Shipping flies a fine line in the constant battle to avoid involvement in military conflicts between Bretonia and Kusari and to keep their reputation high with local authorities in these two houses. David Leroy, the president of LTS, has a personal vision to convince local authorities in the four houses of Sirius to give more freedoms to all lawful traders, even in times of war. He based his attempt off an example by the Deep Trading Consortium, a group of Junkers which are now disbanded. Their attempt failed, however he believes the idea will succeed with backing contracts from major trade corporations.

Goals

Main

  • To become the main provider of trade and shipping services from Liberty to Bretonia and Kusari.
  • To convince local authorities from all major houses of Sirius to allow trade and shipping activities between lawful corporations, even in times of war.

History

Officially, Liberty Trade Shipping was founded at the middle of 819 A.S. by David Leroy and Rick Tenda (both of them former employees of Interspace Commerce). Previously, Rick Tenda has founded another company with the name Liberty Trade and Supply, along with the both sons of David Leroy. But later, with the involvement of David, resigned from Interspace Commerce, this company was dissolved, and a new one has born: Liberty Trade Shipping. Being newly created, this corporation does not have a too consistent history. Actually, the true history of this corporation is written nowadays.

Founders

Liberty Trade Shipping was founded by two traders: David Leroy and Rick Tenda.

David Leroy.jpg

Born on Planet Denver in 777 A.S., in a poor family of miners, he doesn't had necesary financial resources to follow a military academy, as he father always wanted. At 18 years old, he decided to move on planet California Minor. There he met on his current wife, Diana, with whom he had two boys: Mark and Joe. For 10 years, has worked as freelancer trader. At 28 years old, he moved back on Denver Planet and was employed by Interspace Commerce corporation. Much later, at the insistence of his sons, he resigns from Interspace Commerce and decide to create, together with Rick Tenda, Liberty Trade Shipping, becoming the president of this corporation.

Born in 795 A.S. on a luxury boat, Rick Tenda comes from a very rich family. Until 22 years old, he worked as trader for Interspace Commerce. After an incident in which his parents died, he became very rich. Then he decide to invest some of his money in many expensive ships. After several failed attempts to create a new corporation, when meets with David Leroy, Rick felt that it was time to do something really useful with all that money. Now he is the main shareholder of Liberty Trade Shipping and also the Vice President of this corporation. Anyway, seen by others as a scorcher, Rick remain the same guy who was familiar with a very luxurious lifestyle.
