Zoe Cromwell(born November 26, 796) also known as Lyn Beaumont is a libertonian mercenary. Before that she has been part of several terroristic organisations and was squad leader in the Sirian Vanguard.

Life

Early life

Born as daughter of the libertonian Ageira pilot Mike Cromwell and the rheinlandish Freelancer Sofie von Dannenau on Planet Manhattan, Zoe had a good childhood receiving good education and experiencing a decent living standard. The situation changed when her parents divorced in 806. She left Planet Manhattan together with her mother who returned to Freelancer work in a small Albatross. Living mainly inside her mothers ship from now on, she wanted to become a pilot later on as well. But when the trade controls started to increase because of the aftermath of the nomad war and police ships abusing their power the first seeds of her later terrorist carrer have been sowed.

She started doing her own trade runs in the end of 814 A.S. in a Rhino her father got her from money he saved.

The Border Worlds

She eventually left house space and moved to the borderworlds, mainly those between Liberty, Bretonia and Kusari. Delivering to freeports mainly now. When she once got to Tau-31 she met the Outcast Kyle Alvera who she spent quite some time with. His attempts of keeping her away from cardamine were futile when she eventually breathed the air of Planet Malta. Her cardamine dependency would further draw her down into unlawful circles.

Terrorist

When her trading business started to fall apart, she started assisting Pirates and other outlaws through connections she made on Freeports and some on Malta. She eventually even became a terrorist herself inside Liberty when The Shaulanca Fleet started to operate within Liberty. She assisted them in eliminating a lot of the Navys forces. But when the Fleet returned to Bretonia Zoe suddenly found herself alone and soon got captured by the LPI when she flew alone in her Arrow. Since most actions hadn't been directly tied to her she wasn't seen as a real part of the organisation. That earned her a relatively short prison sentence.

Vanguard

When she left prison she tried going back to living a simple life again but couldn't find a job in any of the companies because of her reputation. She was so desperate that when a business man, who called himself James Dean, needed a transport pilot with experience, who wouldn't ask too much questions, she would immediatly accept. Zoe was happy to get a job again even if it wasn't exactly legal and would risk her getting back to Sugarland again.

James Dean turned out to be the leader of an idealistic terrorist group, called the Sirian Vanguard. He used Zoe and pretended to love her. The lonely broken women gladly let herself fall in the group which made her feel like she had a home there. Her career in the Vanguard came to an abrupt end when she was caught by Pete Levine. Levine didn't bring her to prison like she feared he would but helped her get distance to the Vanguard and get her thoughts together. In great effort they started to work on Zoe leaving the Vanguard. Levine's actions were punished by him being hunted and a bounty of 50 million credits being placed on him. Levine eventually brought her to Thunder Bay Depot where they started severing her last ties to the terroristic group.

New Life

Levine's idea had been to use the Gallic-Bretonian war to get a new identity for Zoe. By stating her birthplanet as Leeds in the administration that handled the refugees she was able to change her name and start anew. She would call herself Lyn Beaumont, after a Junker station she visited from time to time, and began to seek new opportunities. She did some small jobs until Pete Levine vanished. The Navy listed him as MIA and Zoe started to join the Bounty Hunters Guild shortly after. She started hunting down the criminal element she belonged to before as well as the Gallics. But her effort to search after Levine should prove as unsuccessfull.
