Will i lose my characters if i install freelancer disco on a new hard drive. It may seem like a stupid question to some but im not tech savvy. My hard drive failed so i am getting a new one pretty soon (once i can ship mine for the warranty) and i would very much like to know if this will be a problem, meaning losing my characters. If i do lose my characters would i be able to get them back through the "lost characters and accounts" thread?

If you use a program such as Discovery Launchpad or Freelancer Account Manager, you can export the file to an adf or xml format. Simply save that file on a memory stick, and you just import them again after you replace your Hard Drive.

If that is impossible, post in the Lost Accounts section, an admin can drop a move-character code on your ships, where you can move it to a new account then.
