Hello everyone. I took leave of Discovery...... a Really Really Long time ago.
So now, I've decided with the pending release of 4.87 to come on back.
My first question is, what did I miss?
Beta gives you 1.8 billion to find out what you missed
new models, no more missile boats, ammo for caps (missiles) and more shtuff.

First off - Welcome (back) to Disco!
Now, to answer your question... i think it depends on when did leave exactly... but either way, it must've been quite some time ago - so i'd say you give a look around the faction section... perhaps stories and biographies, to get up to date with the recent events. Aside from that, looking at the rules and guidelines one more time wouldn't hurt.
Anyway, if you need any help around - just let us know.

P.S. We're currently in the Beta stage of .87 - so you'd be better of testing stuff and RP-ing, rather than starting any serious money-stacking or hard PvP.

Welcome back, so much has changed, it's best to look over the rules...
Eh off the top of my head the biggest things, Caps can shoot Transports, 2 Hours out of system instead of 4, if Traders are killed they CANT re-enter the system. Much more but those seem to be the ones I notice the most. Good luck! Explore!
