To: All forces friendly to the Southern Alliance

Today, a large fleet of my fellow pilots, those of the Sothern Alliance, with the help of the Liberty Security Force, were urgently called to California to resist a massing number of Phantoms and other assorted hostiles, includeing the Hellfire Legion (who were massacred in the fight due to their disorganisation). There was also a single rogue in the area, and this began to worry me. The LSF were eager to fight, and rated our chances highly, despite this. They were eager for revenge, of a smaller engagement earlier that day where the Phantoms outsmarted their force and beat them down in Texas. Obviously, I can understand their need for payback.

After a punch up of words, where the Phantoms claimed they would lay waste to our force, they finally engaged us around Planet Mojave. The battle went well for us from the start, Darkstar losing his battleship in the opening minutes of the fight. Unfortunately for them the Savage, an Outcast destroyer, went down soon after, and the remaining force capitulated. However, the skill of their fighter pilot, Onyx, should be noted and taken into account in the future, as she was the last standing.

A few losses were taken on our side, but all losses were fighters, due to their pilots losing concentration for just a moment. They paid for this with the loss of their fighter. However, the Phantom and friends force was sent packing. Despite calling me a "whore" in the prelude to the battle, they ate their words, and that I am pleased about. Our combined fleet is among the best in Sirius, with a balance between skill and numbers that I am proud of.

A few moments later, their leader, Darkstar, claimed from an untraceable location, that he had dropped off a ground team to set up and detonate an AntiMatter bomb. Such a device could blow a hole to the Outer core of the planet, but as he gave the order, there was no reaction from the planet. A furthur investigation of the surface of the planet indicated no damage to the planet's surface, nor the city in which Darkstar claimed the bomb lay.

Liberty is safe, once again. I am proud to be one of the leaders of such a glorious navy, who takes pride in their job like none other in Sirius. This day will be marked in history, where the best of the navy did what it took to keep the scum of Sirius at bay. Ladies and Gentlemen, I salute you all.

As an Addendum, former Admiral Harrison, now known among us as Corruptor, was shot down and sent home in his escape pod shortly before Onyx succumbed to our lasers. This will teach him about the inferiority of his new brethren, and how they deserve nothing less than total annihilation.

I have some great news to report, because of constant fleets moving into Magellen I went looking for a new toy. Well I guess I should call this an old toy, I thought it had been taken care of a long time ago. The LNS Washington Washington has returned to the fleet! I found her sitting on Richmond station in the launch pad, had the dust, cobwebs, and grime cleaned off and ready to move out. Let's continue to show em what we got in this war, I can see everyone is doing their best and the results are to my liking.

Keep it up,

Admiral Chistopher Phelps.

Commander Kress reporting from Los Angeles California

We firstly massed up a fleet consisting of 6 capital ships (2 bs+2gb+ an assault cruiser and a liberty cruiser) and 4 fighters consisting of LSF raven claws near planet LA. LSF and some other independent pilots joined our training sessions. And also my thanks goes to Norwich for participating the capital ship defense initiative training session.

SESSION_1 (CAPITAL GROUPS)

First session was of 2 capital ship battle groups composing of a bs,cruiser and gb.
Group-a : Norwich, Utah, Battleborn (Sf bretonian bs, Sa lib gb, Sa lib assault cr)
Group-b: TheWise, James, Captain.. (3 independent involvers, lib dred+lib gb+lib cr)

Group-a firstly aimed the biggest target and following the pattern till the smallest target is eliminated.

Group-b aimed mainly on the bs but was partially scattered due to lack of concentration. However group-a had a slight hull and experience advantage.

Result group-a won. Group-b is eliminated.
Casualities of group a- the gunboat utahs hull was drained to 9.5 bars and no losses at all on group a side.

SESSION_2

Group-a: Utah, James, Battleborn
Group-b: Norwich, The Wise

Group-a tried to aim norwich by falling to his back, however the firepower failed to bring his hull down and bborn firstly got eliminated. Then Utah and lastly James fell.

Group-b simply targeted bborn since he was the biggest target. Experience and hull advantage of norwich gave them the victory.

Result Group a is eliminated
Casualities of Group b, norwichs shield was taken off and his hull had been dealt considerable damage yet it was not enough to bring it down.

Notes: cruising and falling back of a battleship is reasonable for lower caps. Caps shall not stay under the battleship not to recieve maximum pounding. Better try to stay on its back. We may need some gunboat groups as anti cap and anti fighter. Better to have both of em in mass fleets for different situations. Anti cap gunboats will need to improve their evading and aiming skills.

SESSION_3

Norwich against TheWise
Result Norwich won. (Damage inflicted minor hull damage likely 3 bars drained)
Comments: Norwich had better hull better experience and better dodging skills.
TheWise needs to improve his dodging skills since he is using a liberty dreadnought which is a lot easier to strafe than a bretonian battleship.

Some important notes about the training are as follows..

LSF stealth squad did well with their scouting mission within California system. (2 stalth fighters were ordered to sweep mojave-minor-la-magellan jg route with opposite directions) Tactic worked well and they Contacted Taurvi.NLF (faster than i expected) 2 times and left him in his run alone with my order since it was pointless to chase him till all day and we had more important issues than chasing a single target. Our main goal was to execute a productive training session which i believe we did.

LSF still can improve in obeying quick orders such as rendezvouz missions. Some times these drastic delays may result in bitter conclusions like losing fighter support.

=LSF=Death_Stalker seemed on good form against barrage fire and missile shots of a liberty gunboat. He may still improve his survival time. He may be touted as a promising aspect for the navy as well.*

TheWise has been detected as attentive to orders. He seems to have no adaptation problems and could be a useful pilot in the near future.*

RV_engagement pattern..

We used only fighters for chasing a fighter and caps stayed in front of LA.
For a single fighter or bomber dispatch fighters
For a GB dispatch fighters and the available gunboats (a cruiser maybe dispatched if the unwanted targets are supported by some independent pirates or if they are experienced enough and cause threat)
For cruiser/s and/or battleship/s, all fleet rv at spesific location and terminate the target.
For organized assaults against Liberty space, all fleet rv at spesific location and wait for orders from higher command.

Some suggestions and further notifications..

LSF fighter squad should better involve in more frequent training sessions with SA fleet. Any LSF ship is welcome among us.

Any independent Liberty Lawful or Mercenary aiming to help Liberty is welcome among us. They are also welcome in our training sessions. They can be more useful when they know how to engage targets in an organized way. A mixture of similar mould composing of SA,LSF and Liberty lawfuls could do wonders if trained well.

I would suggest taking some of our mass fleets to unknown system and have some time with the nomad masses. Would surely improve the dodging and aiming of all members participating.

(Further notifications and suggestions maybe added)
Thanks to everybody participating, and feel free to correct spelling mistakes and lacking parts.

Commander Kress report on the training session is right . The SA fleet as a whole needs more training session in working in battle Groups . Taking notes from Commander Kress report .

(Commander Kress Notes)
SESSION_1 (CAPITAL GROUPS)

First session was of 2 capital ship battle groups composing of a bs,cruiser and gb.
Group-a : Norwich, Utah, Battleborn (Sf bretonian bs, Sa lib gb, Sa lib assault cr)
Group-b: TheWise, James, Captain.. (3 independent involve-rs, lib dred+lib gb+lib cr)

Group-a firstly aimed the biggest target and following the pattern till the smallest target is eliminated.

Group-b aimed mainly on the bs but was partially scattered due to lack of concentration. However group-a had a slight hull and experience advantage.

Result group-a won. Group-b is eliminated.
Casualties of group a- the gunboat utah's hull was drained to 9.5 bars and no losses at all on group a side.
===================

The Actions use in 1st training session would be that of group fireing . In this battle group the main battle ship would call out it's target . For fact in group (A) Norwich was the main battle ship . He called out his target as TheWise lib dred . Norwich a bretonian bs an I a lib assault cr put all are fire on him . while Utah a lib gb put his fire on a lib cr. After TheWise was taken down with in secs I an Norwich turn are fire onto the lib cr an Utah turn it's fire on to lib gb James ..

Now if theses moves can be use in real combat say VS the HF or any other fleet we stand a better chance of Victory in combat.

I ask that Commander Kress report be look into a lot more.

Subject: A simple request

Good evening. Seeing as I do not have much time before my next tour of the planet's oceans, I will make my request brief. I am requesting to buy a Liberty VHF, preferably a model of the Avenger-class. I used to fly one during my freelance days in California, and I was quite happy with the ship.

Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedules for processing my request, and have a nice day.
