>Corsairs.

Greetings High Command.

It seems the Corsairs are frequenting our space on a daily basis these days. Not only this, but they are more than often hostile to the lawful forces, meaning their ships are destroyed. With all these Corsairs about, the local Outcasts are emerging from their slums and encroaching further into Liberty to fight their sworn enemy (the Corsairs). This is making enforcing the law and protecting Liberty harder than it already is, and at times our forces are overstretched, leaving wide gaps in the coverage of Liberty.

May I suggest we get diplomatic with these Corsairs and get them to explain why they're in Liberty? If we could get them out of Liberty, it would stop the Outcasts venturing so far out of their comfort zone to find these Corsairs, meaning less confrontation, less danger and a safer Liberty for all.

Ensign Alexander Casero reporting patrols of the current day.
My patrol started at 23:00 MMT (Manhattan Mean Time), my vessel was placed at Battleship Missouri.
First round around New York, and no activity detected. Second round around Texas, no activity detected.
At 23:30 MMT, I got a call from the emergency channel, xenos were invading Pueblo station. The commodore Willows found me in Fort Bush, and I formed in her wing. After we jumped to Colorado system, we found a couple of Lane Hackers comming from the trade lane from Pueblo, it seemed they were running away from the Xenos. We defeated 1 of the LH, most of the job was done by the commodore, but I'm glad I helped her, the other one run to New York. Soons as we got our hands of from those hackers, we jump to the trade lane to Pueblo, and we found 5-6 Xeno's vessels surround it. The incomming help from battleship Rio Grande was blocked out in the trade lane, and they wouldn't make it on time to help.
The battle started, and I got trapped by their mines in something like 10 seconds, the hell they were minning the whole area. My vessel got too much damage, and commodore Willows advised me to leave the place at once.
I docked at Missouri again, to repair my ship, and going out to patrol once again. Fourtanely, it was just the thruster and the mine launcher, so, there were not too much repairs.
I was patroling California, when I got another emergency message from a police officer, callsign Eyna. A couple of bogeys were close to West Point Academy, I moved to assist the police officer, and Commander Hastings came too.
Quickly those outcasts got more reinforcements, and we were outnumbered very fast. Commander Hastings managed to destroy one of those ships, someone called Skie.
Seems my ship had more damage that they found in Missouri, because my radar and my missiles warning system were not working, and they showed wrong info from my targets, and suddenly I was seeing my target shooting to the empty space, I got shot from my back, and had to eject from my Avenger.
The good commander took me in his ship, and after destroying the bandits, he left me in Missouri until I get a new vessel.

Had a very interesting shift today. Multiple smugglers, outcasts, rogues, and even a rheinland cruiser in Liberty. I ran into a group with the callsigns [PFF] in Colorado as I was sweeping the system. They were clearly pirates but didn't seem to have any affiliation. I cut off one of their gunboats in a tradelane and requested him to halt for questioning. He immediately opened fire on my vessel and I barely escaped. Soon about 3 more PFF pirates appeared on my scopes and I requested assistance. The battlecruiser LNS-Quimby and another Navy pilot responded. The Quimby took down the gunboat then stood watch over the ensuing dogfight. Outnumbered though, my ship was crippled within minutes and I was forced to eject. The Quimby quickly tractored me in safely. Somehow not more than a few minutes later another PFF gunboat flying the same colors and captained by the same commander as the one destroyed ealier reappeared and engaged.

I'm requesting that any and all ships with the callsign [PFF] recieve a Kill on Sight designation.

Ensign Alexander Casero reporting patrols of the current day.
Today patrols were located at New York system, which was full of pirates and bandits of different kinds.
First encounter was with the SOB group, some guys who call theirselves guardians of cardamine, they protect cardi smugglers from any lawful vessel. They hided in a liberty rogue destroyer close to West Point Academy. Fourtanely, we didn't have to fight them, and they weren't attacking pilots.
When we moved back to West Point, we found a Rogue gunboat callsign Paladin, which peacefully left the area when I asked to do it.
The LPI officer Wright Woody, was charging a Orca gunboat for kidnapping of Liberty forces pilots. The defendant refused to pay the fine, and he attacked on the LPI vessel, the agent Johny Leroy and me help officer Woody to deal with it. The target was nullified, and the agent Leroy and me moved to Colorado, for I got a message from the commander of the LNS-Quimby, Captain Jeremy Freedman, that the Ageira corporations was being attacked by two pirate vessels, a gunboat class, and a fighter. With help from a Freelancer and others ships, we destroyed the fighter, and forced the gunboat to flee.
I moved to battleship Rio Grande, where I docked to fill this report.

>Post-Battle Report

After hearing reports of pirate activity in New York, I powered up the Indiana's engines and went in search of them. One of them, Paladin, was being very vocal over the system comms system. This proved to be his downfall, as I was able to track these transmissions and pinpoint his location. He was at the California jumpgate, pirating anything and everything that came through. When he saw me approaching, he attempted to flee, however I disrupted his cruise engines. He must've took that as an act of aggression and proceeded to open fire on the Indiana. However, we had the clear advantage, leveling the pirate's shields in under a minute, with our shields still at near-maximum strength. The pirate took evasive action to try and confuse the Indiana's gunners, but our gunners were smart and cunning, catching onto the pirates evasive patterns and pummeling him whilst he tried to escape.

After a while, two new contacts appeared on sensors, MD-1032 and Siik. Both enemy bombers proceeded to engage me as I was about to put Paladin out of his misery. A nearby bounty hunter knew there were bounties on the enemies of Liberty, so he decided to help me out. The first bomber went down with little effort, however the remaining bomber proved to be more difficult.
The exotic bomber design meant our gunners were guessing at where to place the targeting beacon, resulting in low hit ratio. I ordered the gunners to switch targets, back to Paladin, who was suffering heavy damage from the weapons of the Hunter bomber. In a matter of seconds, the Paladin was destroyed, leaving MD-1032 the only pirate left alive.

With the Indiana suffering heavy damage from the skirmish, I engaged the cruise engines and plotted a course for Norfolk shipyard to get her repaired. Moments after I left, the remaining hostile bomber was destroyed by the Bounty Hunter.
I suggest that MD-1032 be placed on a Hostile Mercenary list of some sort, and that he is not to be trusted or approved for Legal work within Liberty.

Ensign Kyle Whisperdale reporting in.

2 days ago I encountered a female oucast carrying numerous bounty hunter pilots and several LPI pilots along with some cardi. When I stopped her she told me she was looking for personal house slaves and that us Navy pilots were the best sort. After some negotiations I convinced her to release the LPI pilots to a nearby freelancer who tractored in their pods and returned them to Manhattan safely. As the reverse side of this deal, however, she wanted a chance to take me as one of her personal slaves, but I figured it was worth risking for the other pilots' lives. A battle ensued between the outcast and I that I eventually won when one of her mines prematurely detonated next to her ship. I tractored her in and turned her over to the nearest LPI unit for transfer to prison.

Later on, Ensign Toliman and I were doing routine patrols throughout New York and the adjacent systems but everything seemed quiet. Suddenly, all ships in the system began recieving odd transmissions. They were mostly static, but the occasional word could be made out in a voice that honestly sent chills up my spine. We immediately moved to investigate by checking to see that the major population centers and stations of the system were safe then proceeded to check the more remote areas. Random comms started coming in about possible sightings of the ship broadcasting the odd transmissions, but we still could not find it. Just after we thought we had searched everywhere, another transmission came in mentioning a "closed gate." Ensign Toliman and myself quickly deduced that the message was alluding to the old shut down jumpgate to Magellan. As we made course with all possible speed, new transmissions came in responding to whoever/whatever was sending the odd transmissions. When we arrived on seen, we found the source of the new transmissions to be a civilian pilot who had gotten lost when he accidentally entered the badlands and ran into the source of the odd transmissions. As we approached the 2 ships they began to fire upon eachother. Ensign Toliman and I finally caught up to the 2 dueling ships and to our amazement it was a nomad fighter! Ensign Toliman had never before seen one and I had only fought one once before. I joined in the fight against the nomad ship and Ensign Toliman sat back at first so he could get a better grasp of the sheer quickness and mobility of the craft before he fought as well. My ship was damaged in the fight and Toliman was forced to jump in. Even with the addition of another enemy, the alien ship continued to target and fire upon myself. I was forced to use all of the skills I had learned since joining the Navy to survive while Ensign Toliman and the civi were attacking the nomad chasing me. Just as I thought my ship couldn't take another hit, Ensign Toliman nailed a crucial gun score against the alien craft and it exploded into tiny shards. Toliman immediately flew over to my ship to take a look at the damage inflicted upon it. Once the two of us had concluded that my avenger could safely make it back to Norfolk Shipyards for the major repairs needed, the civilian was gone with no trace of where he headed. Ensign Toliman took a quick scan around the area for him, but it was to no avail so he escorted me as my ship limped towards the nearest tradelane then all the way to Norfolk.

(Though I know I'm only an ensign myself) I personally think Toliman's actions were worthy of a commendation if the Admirality sees fit. It is because of his quick thinking and great piloting skills that day that I am still alive. Without him, the outcome of that fight with the nomad vessel would have turned out quite differently and I shiver to think about the case if I had been forced to eject in the badlands with no hope of rescue or even worse, if that nomad decided to tractor in my pod and take me away.

A most...disturbing...event today, concerning one of my operatives and two vessels claiming to be LPI and LN.

Lambda Flight Lead was initiating standard operations in <<Classified>> when he was hailed by a vessel claiming to be one Richard Knight of the Liberty Navy. The pilot of said vessel claimed no knowledge of our operations in <<Classified>> and attempted to order my operative to leave the system. Naturally, this would be of detriment to our activities, so my operative attempted to reason with the supposed Naval vessel.

While this was ongoing, a Liberty Gunboat was detected in the system, displaying LPI identification and under the callsign "Clancy Wiggum". My operative's discussion with the supposed Naval officer did not seem to be making any headway, until the Naval vessel opened fire on my operative's ship. The aforementioned Gunboat suddenly opened fire on my operative as well. Out-gunned, he managed to make a successful emergency landing on <<Classified>> with minor damage to his vessel.

The only subsequent transmissions that could be recorded bore disturbing similarities to transmissions intercepted in the presence of Nomad organisms. We can but hope that the obvious conclusion is also a false one...

Ensign Alexander Casero reporting patrols of the current day.
A really busy day, just when I undocked at West Point we found a transport carrying counterfeit software, he claimed no knowledge of that, and tried to run, we got him trying to jump to Texas, but fourtanely the jump gate was busy. He refused to drop his cargo, so we took it by force.
While me and a LSF agent were going to assist to [LN]-Richard.Knight close to Cortez gate in California for something about a smuggler, we found two rogue gunboats orbiting planet Mojave. My computer didn't compile the name of one of them, the other one is called BG|Torpedo, which gladly I gave it the last hit (to both of them). But, it's not my merit, it was team work, along the LN, LSF, LPI and indies.
The outcasts destroyer known as No.FairPlay, came to assist the defeated gunboats. And with it, at least 3 falcata bombers, Implosion, Atlantis and BG|Starbucks. During the fight, Lieutenant Backus came to assist, and he took the lead of the Liberty group, he did a really good job leading us during the combat.
We got some casualties, but we unarmed those falcatas and some of them left, and the others were destroyed.
After reloading my ship, I was required by Lt. Backus to assist him in a patrol in Cortez and Magellan systems, two Lane Hacker gunships were there pirating to traders close to Freeport 4, being in two fighters, we're not ready to take on them. We got backup from New York, and also we got backup from BAF, under the new treaty of Curacao, NATO secured Magellan, destroying one of the Gunships, the other one was hided into the asteroids field and we lost contact.
After that, I landed in California Minor, to rest, and make my papperwork.
