Lieutenant Samuel Zander

Salutations Commanders, Zander reporting in.

It didn't take five minutes before my shift started until I heard a distress call coming from the Texas system. Apparently a Rheinland Military Cruiser had entered Liberty space in order to assault incoming traffic. I hooked up with Ensign Christopher Hood as well as a Liberty Navy Gunboat Captain. Taking the trade-lane towards Planet Houston, I found the identified hostile sitting near the Virgina Jump Hole. Perhaps an intel-mission set-up by the Rheinlanders. Regardless we began attacking the vessel and during the combat we also received vital assistance from a Liberty Navy Cruiser. Our combined firepower managed to bring it down after relentless shooting.

I and Ensign Hood continued our patrol inside the California system and found a pilot who was pirating merchants traveling between Cortez and California. Said pilot was told to stand down, pay a fine of two million credits and then being put to prison. However, the pilot tried to escape but we managed to intercept and shoot him down.

During our way back to the New York system for re-supplying we spotted an Order Pilot who claimed to be hunting down Nomads since the Liberty Navy, quote: "Was too incompetent." Due to suspicion of spying the Order Pilot was told to come with us in peace so we could successfully process him. As expected, the pilot refused and opened fire, we retaliated and Police Officer Hunter managed to neutralize the target.

That is all - Lieutenant Zander signing off.

As stated in the report by Lt Samuel Zanders, I partook in the action against the Rheinland Cruiser. My guns were rendered ineffective as I lack training in tackling that sort. But Luckily help came from a Liberty Cruiser. The battle intensified as the cruisers pounded each other until the combined Navy firepower ended the battle.

After that, I resumed normal duties until this came up.

By that time, the newly installed Telepathic Message Receiver or TMR activated and immediately tracked the Unknown ship. The Receiver identified the ship as a Nomad. I spotted it together with a LSF agent around Planet Manhattan where it was speaking. I chased it down to the TL between Fort Bush and Norfolk where I had a conversation with it. Luckily "it" didn't affect me at all since I was protected by the TMR.

Robert "Crap Trap" Bueller and Dean "Fishy" Winchester are now promoted to the rank of "the first in the morning"... or Ensign for those who are not used to the slang.

You lazy bastards made me work twice for the same thing on the same day, and for that, you owe me 1 hour of patroling Virgina, and I want evidence of that, or my decision could be reversed by the High Command.

Congratulations, you are a bit better than crap.

PS: Due to technical problems, and the fact that Bueller liked his nick name, he has been renamed from Road Trip, to Crap Trap.

Thank you, sir, but I prefer "Road Trip". I think Vice Admiral Anderson does too. I hope.

I'll go spend an hour playing solitaire at the jump hole -- er, patrol Virginia as soon as I can. Currently on assignment with the Vice Admiral.

Bueller out.

~Message begins~

Well, with my reassignment it seems I have a new channel to make my reports to... Well, here goes.

Within seconds of the Aegis Fate unmooring from Houston, we received word that two Rheinland Military ships were in the area. Not knowing where they were, we set up position between the Bering and Hudson Tradelanes, attempting to determine the location of the usurpers. Minor contact with the Junker Vessel Maelstrom.

We received a call from LNS-Hunter who had tracked down the Rheinland Fighters, and was attempting to order their immediate vacation of the system. It was when he told me that the Junker crewed Rogue Destroyer Maelstrom was present that I moved the Fate to his location, to make sure the Junker didn't attempt to aid the Rheinlanders.

The LNS-Hunter engaged their cloaking device at a random point (How the hell did they get one?) and the Rheinlanders used my confusion to escape along with the Maelstrom. Not having clearance to engage the fighters, I returned to Houston to organise a fighter wing to hunt them down.

Within an hour, a small strike force had assembled. Much more than was needed, but I was happy for the support. Amongst some gunboats and fighters, I assumed Tactical Command of the situation. I sent some fighters to scout the North Dallas Field, where intel told me a suspected Junker Base was held.

We chose correctly. The Rheinlanders appeared to have been repaired at the Junker Base, perhaps by the Maelstrom itself, and upon seeing the scouts, they made a beeline to the Hudson Jump Hole. Attempts to cut them off were unsuccessful and we chased them into the Hudson system where they split up.

I used the tradelanes to our advantage, reaching the Hamburg Jumpgate just after one of the RM fighters, who escaped into the Gate. I took position blocking the gate, and fought the fighter off again as he attempted to rescue his wingman. Said wingman managed to evade the blockade and also escaped into the Jumpgate.

At this point I had no idea where the Maelstrom was, as the ship designated to follow them was not replying to comms. Somehow they made it to Hamburg, and against my orders the LNS-Tyrant entered the system, engaging the Destroyer. I ordered the Strike Force to set up defensive positions blockade the way from Rheinland to Liberty, at which point the Tyrant called for help.

I entered the system with LNS-Douglas and immediately headed towards the battle, engaging the already damaged Maelstrom. The Tyrant was disabled, and the Junker plus RM retreated to Westfalen. Knowing to follow within range of the Westfalen's guns would be suicide, I informed the Maelstrom that it was no longer welcome in Liberty, and ordered all friendly units back to Hudson.

At this point the strike force broke up, their mission done, even if it was a relative failure. I left Ens.Travis.Russ to guard Hudson, and sent Vesko to Bering, while I returned to my post in Texas to write this report. They stayed on station for fifteen minutes, before I recalled them and debriefed, giving them permission for some R&R on my tab.

The RM got away, but I do not believe they gathered any useful intelligence on the system, though the Junker is a worry. I'd like to put Ens.Travis.Russ and Vesko up for promotion, they have showed exemplary valour in combat and followed all of my orders to the letter, even though I am not their regular commander.

I guess that's it...

Hawk out.

From: Lieutenant Kentaurus Toliman, Liberty Navy

Quite the busy day today in Liberty.

After attending a training session, I returned to NY where I met up with Ensign Bishop, and Commander Ypsilantis. From there we Proceeded to California where we escorted a shipment to Willard. After Having secured that. While at Willard, an unidentified AI ship passed the station, while interrogating the unknown entity, it bolted. The Commander made pursuit while I was charged with escorting the transports back towards Cortez.

Once that mission was completed, Myself and Bishop returned to NY for new orders and assignments. At this time Vice Admiral Anderson had begun his patrols. Ypsilantis was engaged with a Joker thug by the name of Shushy. (It should be noted that at the same time, [RM] forces were spotted in New Hampshire, however =LSF= Agents responded to that area. I am unsure on the details of the outcome, however I am sure an =LSF= representative will clarify soon).

I had received a report that there were Rhineland forces had appeared in the Texas System. After confirming the targets with LRS, Winchester, Comm. Ypsilantis, and myself responded to the incident. Much to our surpirse, we found ourselves facing two Rhineland Battleships and a bomber. Needless to say, or small force could not handle the three of them at once. We remained out of firing range and one of the Battleships left the engagement area towards Hudson. We continued to maintain a safe distance and visual contact with the remaining Battleship and bomber craft until the LNS-Justice arrived on scene. With the aid of the Justice, the battleship was destroyed. The Commander was called back to deal with an incident in California (hopefully file a report about that later), Myself and Winchester remained to deal with the remaining bomber. The enemy bomber managed to get a lucky shot off with his SNAC and Winchester was forced to eject from his ship. It was pretty much a stalemate between me (in my bomber) and the enemy. Bueller came to assist me, however, the target bugged out, and we were unable to continue the pursuit. However, all Rhineland forces in Texas at that time had been repelled.

We were later joined that night by Commanders Kapinos and Casero who assisted with the regular patrols. Kapinos and Winchester (who was fitted into a new ship), interdicted a pair of pirates in California, Vice Admiral Anderson took Bueller for a patrol in the Colorado system, and Myself and the Ypsilantis handled the NY approaches. A single [RM] ship was spotted in Texas, Ypsilantis and I (after a quick ship change), proceeded to the target zone. Just as the target ship came into visual range, it reversed it's heading and made a mad dash to Hudson JG. The [RM] ship managed to slip through the gate, just as the final sequence to lock the gate was entered.

That about ends this patrol summary.

Safe Flights,

-Lt. Kent Toliman

SUBJECT: New Hampshire

Myself and three other LSF ships responded to reports of a small Rheinland task force in the New Hampshire system. After a lengthy search we found them, their forces were a Wrath fighter, a bomber, a cruiser and a gunboat. We only had 1 bomber in our small interception wing and 3 fighters. I called for help to deal with the cruiser, the LNS Liberty Split responded. Unfortunately the Rheinlanders were reinforced by 3 fighters. I dont know what happened to the cruiser as I had to eject and one of my agents got my pod, the directors pod and agent Gee's and bolted for home. We lost 3 ships to their 1, we were out gunned and out numbered and didnt stand a chance. I am currently in West Point Medical for a check up, that is all...

Good morning.

I've attached a few reports from he last couple of days. My first comes from two days ago, when I was en route to rendezvous with other [LN] forces at the Mississippi. I was flying past Planet Mojave when I witnessed three pirates brutally murdering a civilian in a CSV. They had gave no warning, and the CSV's combat level rating was only a 20. They then turned to shoot at me, again with no warning. I called for backup and started to fight back as best as I could. About five minutes into the fight, a Lane Hacker gunship shows up, and also begins to shoot at me. At this time I'm dodging around Riverside, while I awaited backup. As soon as reinforcements arrived, we began to pick apart the pirates. I myself, got one kill from my mini razor.

[Image: th_screen122.jpg] [Image: th_screen121.jpg]

After that, the rest of the day is history, I'm sure Fleet Admiral Hale is well aware of what took place after - as he was there in Hamburg.

Yesterday, a matter of great concern to me has arisen.

A complete fool, captaining a vessel known as the Leevi, opened fire on a civilian Camera freighter. I asked the civilian to stop test-firing so close to Manhattan's orbit, when Leevi showed up and shot the freighter's shields down. What would have happened if he had melted the Camera's viewports? Or knocked it out of orbit and it collided with the planet? I hope this fool is relieved of his command and brought up on charges.

Finally, Hank Kapinos and myself took on a Vagrant Raider by the name of Xavier Fierceshot, and his Outcast associate Diego. Before we could take action, the fiend, clad in a crow mask with horrible, gleaming eyes killed twenty-seven people. These people included nine civilian pilots, a tourist, a Gunboat Captain, and nine Rheinlanders.

Their deaths were avenged.
