Matty. M;

By passing off a nomad as a drone, the situation was dealt with. Scans showed in particular that the 'nomad' was both in its infancy and completely unarmed, meaning that it posed no threat at all to anyone. Furthermore, why exactly does the Navy need to be called in to deal with a harmless infant when such creatures are the main priority of intelligence organisations, kindly represented by the Liberty Security Force? If anything, they should have been the ones called to the scene, not the Navy.

At the beginning of the battle, the numbers were even. Four Liberators belonging to your officers against four enemy ships, including two werewolves and one barghest. It was during the battle that enemy reinforcements showed up, two gunboat class vessels as well as two enemy fighters. At this point, naval reserves were committed.

I don't let personal likes and dislikes get in the way of doing my job, far from it since, as you can see, my decisions have tactical, strategic and logistical basis. It does however please me when my duties and my personal opinion coincide with each other.

Matty. M Wrote:Kimble claims he attacked you afterward
Well that's a start at least.

If I failed to do my job and help the LPI- in this case, then why was it that officer Kimble was able to open fire on me at all? Surely, we can all see that his survival of the battle meant that Naval forces did in fact intervene, and consequently did in fact do their jobs to the letter. Remember, the Navy suffered the immobilization of the reserve gunboat Vincennes during the encounter. If it was my aim to make sure that only the LPI- suffered casualties and not end the engagement before the enemy could bring even more force to bear, endangering civilians in the vicinity, I would not have committed such a large piece of weaponry to the battle, let alone accepted its loss as a neccessary sacrifice to carry the day in a timely manner.

People dieing? Or maybe the LPI-'s budget being dented by the need of a few more Liberators to replace those lost?

BULLCRAP. You know you're lying. So don't give me that crap! Now why are you helping these raving psychotics? You used to be somebody I could trust. You're really inconsiderate.

Hale here.

Right... Here's what happens when I step out of the office for a single week. One week, that's all.

First. I want a summary of the situation from both of you on my desk in the morning. No I'm not going to trawl my way through all this argumentative junk. Second, I want the cold hard facts relating to it. Evidence and gun-cam shots. Third, I expect people I've known for years and trust and like not to pull this kind of crap.

Myers, reign in your man Kimble before we end up with a much larger problem. I've met this man, and I'll be honest, he's an idiot. It's easier to handle this the fewer people involved.

Hale out.

I got an emergency call from the LPI just now. A Rogue gunboat was causing havoc and the LPI didn't have the firepower to nail it. so, even though I was very busy doing important navy stuff in the bar with a beer in one hand and a young single female cadet in the other, I jumped in my bomber and launched.

The rogue GB was near West Point. As I prepared to make the standard lame arse surrender request I was already being shot at. So I figured 'hell with that frakkin' surrender request' and started blasting the gunboat.

after a while, it went poof.

After the spalsh I landed on West Point to continue my, ehr, duties.

Ensign Jadin Larsen with Patrol Report:

Today, I started my first patrol back with Liberty Navy in several months. Moments into my patrol, I joined up with a group of assorted navy vessels of various factions. I noticed that some were engaged in battle with an Outcast Tridente Gunboat, going by the name of Wolfram, and I asked if they needed assistance. I was met with rudeness. A particular gentlemen by the name of [LMC]2Lt.Jack.Johnson responded to my kind enquiry with, "You're in range, figure it out."

Now, I'm willing to give this man the benefit of the doubt. I do want it on record, however, that if LMC personnel are going to take this sort of attitude with LN officers, then maybe they can fight out their battles without LN assistance. I may be wrong, but are we not all on the same side?

Anyways, I stayed out of the battle for awhile, since it was three navy vessels against one. But as soon as one of the Navy ships went down, I engaged the Outcast and along with the rest of the Navy vessels, soon took down this menace to society.

After that little bit of 'fun', I joined up with LN-Jack.Will. We came upon a Rogue Gunboat in NY system. It's name was Black.Pearl. The Pearl took a quick count of vessels against him (three) and decided discretion was the better part of valor. He allowed himself to be escorted out of system. We followed him into California and sent him on his way.

Shortly thereafter, we happened upon a Hacker named Craig.Fisher. This pirate was wrecking havoc with the civilian craft in the area, and so Jack. Will and I demanded the return of the civilians he had hostage, and a quick exit out of Liberty Space. Craig.Fisher was compliant and so we left his ship in one piece. Later, however, he met his end by a inexperienced pilot by the name of Dawg, a hunter I believe.

Here are pics of the encounters, both with the rude LMC officer Jack.Johnson and the three pirates.

This message is to alert all Liberty Lawful vessels concerning the criminal actions of the captain of the Liberty Gunboat--Harbinger_of_Grief.

The captain of this vessel fired repeatedly upon myself and others without provocation, destroying at least one vessel and doing damage to several others before he was eventually subdued. I excercised restraint, but when he resorted to such drastic violence without reason, I was left with no choice, but to use my superior firepower to put down the threat to Liberty space.

This event was witnessed by Enf.KillSeek and [\JG/]Rakghoul, both of which joined in the efforts to quickly minimize the damage that this rogue captain could inflict.

It should be noted that LNS-Successor alerted us to the danger, and that Plasmodium.Corrosive was the name of the vessel that succumbed to Harbinger_of_Grief.

>>>SUBJECT:.........Unlawful Bounties in Liberty

Greetings,

As you may or may not know, the Alster Union has put a bounty on all Liberty Navy, LPI, and LSF ships. I myself didn't know this until just recently, luckily the Mississippi got the distress beacon from my escape pod. This posses a great threat to security within our own space, if I may suggest that we ban all Freelancer and Mercenary IFF/IDed ships from Liberty Space until we can gain control of the situation. It's bad enough that Liberty is under constant attack from pirates and Rheinland, we don't need assassins sneaking into our back yard and picking us off one-by-one.

Sincerely,

Lieutenant, I don't think you realise the implications that restricting Mercenaries and Freelancers would have.

Liberty could become a safe haven for bountied terrorists and criminals and there would be a significant disruption in the escort and bounty sector of Liberty's entire economy.

Companies and solitary space travellers would be relying solely on Police and Naval forces for escort and security, and frankly we don't have time for that. Not to mention the huge amounts of Mercenaries and Freelancers we'd have to drag from the bars and pubs of Manhattan and Pittsburgh, let alone Denver, Houston, and every single other planet in our space.
Where would we even move them? Who could possibly accept them, and then actually cater for those millions of people?

And do you want to make those millions of people that have lived their lives hunting angry at the Libertonian government?

Ultimately I won't get a say in this, us secondary fleet captains never seem to. But I strongly advise against that action, regardless of what we may face from them.

The Liberty Navy and her allies will power forward, through them, and continue on unscathed, like every other time masses of ships and various plasmas have been flung at us.

>>>SUBJECT:.........Bounties on Liberty

Good day sir,

While I understand the need for outside contracts to be posted on certain individuals and groups from time-to-time, I don't see the need to allow private mercenaries to enter our space and give them free reign to pick and choose they're targets. In response to your message, I never said anything about the Bounty Hunters Guild, I believe it goes against there own procedures to take unlawful bounties such as this.

Furthermore, Rheinland has become more brazen in there attacks of late, I do not wish to loose Hudson or Bering, or Heaven forbid Texas itself, due to a lack of personnel able to defend our own space. I understand that this will ultimately fall on the shoulders of the Primary Fleet to make a judgment on the matter on how we proceed through this, but just allowing assassins into Liberty is bad form, and I believe that if something isn't done soon, morale will hit some serious lows. Yesterday I observed a Navy Gunboat fighting with himself, he has a job to do, but he can't make it 2 systems away to conduct a patrol without getting a wing of mercenaries on his tail, and this was shortly after requisitioning another ship, if word gets out that this is happening to the scale that it is, we can say goodbye to our recruiting efforts, then we'll just have a bunch of merchs running around a no Navy, I shutter at the thought.

Sincerely,

Second Lieutenant Tyler Crowley
