A videofeed from David Hale's office at Fort Bragg, Planet Manhattan fades up, showing the Fleet Admiral standing infront of his desk.
Ladies and gentlemen of the Navy, I just wanted to say a few words about my friend and colleage Galen Anderson.
Admiral Anderson's service to this nation goes far beyond that which is ever expected of anyone. His dedication, commitment, loyalty and patience have served as an example for everyone, from our newest recruits, to myself. His actions and leadership have given far more to this nation than has been seen in many years.
He pauses and smiles.
I've personally served with Galen Anderson for many years. I have memories of myself, at the time ranked Captain, flying patrols with Anderson around New York and the core systems in peacetime. A different era, doubtless. Admiral John Talon, my direct predecessor was heading up the navy at the time. As young mid-command officiers we cut our teeth with operations during the California clearances, and smaller skirmishes against threats such as the Phantoms.
During that time Anderson not only gained my respect as a navy officer, but also as a friend.
Hale looks down for a second, then looks back to the camera.
So, Galen... I wanted to personally, and publicly, thank you for your time in the navy. You've served as a steadying hand in the high command structure, and have taken a lot of weight off not only my shoulders, but also those of Christina Robinson, Jack Malrone, and while they were still serving, Ryan MacTavish and Sarah Willows. I cannot thank you enough.
On behalf of The House of Liberty, and the Liberty Navy, we salute you.
The Fleet Admiral gives a formal salute and the video fades to black.

Subject: Samura mischief
I picked up the Guardian that was assigned to me from Manhattan today, after doing all the pre flight checks the techs demanded I set out to move to my assigned post. As I left orbit I noticed a Samura transport talking on open comm channels. He claimed to be bearing a gift from Kusari, he then dumped his entire hold of toxic waste into Manhattan's orbit. At this time my Guardian's comm array went out so I lost all comm traffic. I watched the vessel as it went to head to the trade lane to Baltimore Shipyard, for reasons I am not sure of due to the comm array issue the Navy in the area opened fire on the transport. My comm array came online as the first few shots were fired however and the Kusarian was complaining that the Navy were being rude and that he would inform the Emperor himself about their actions. He then moored his vessel to Trenton Outpost, I'm not sure why docking control on Trenton allowed this but it happened. I am attaching footage I took of the event. It is my belief that this Kusarian was merely trying to cause trouble between Liberty and Kusari.

I proceeded to Alaska as ordered and encountered a transport coming from the direction the Minor jump hole is located. I was unable to prevent his escape due to a few Order patrols overwhelming me, I was forced to retreat to Kodiak Research Station. I've attached footage from that encounter also. I can only assume the Order were assisting him as he ran silent and the Order immediately assaulted me when I tried to question him.

Usually I wouldn't bother you with the boring stuff that happens during my patrols. Although half the time I'm not on my own. However. Today was an exception.
After being parked at my post at Manhatten, I had givern away many of my nanobots to a trader who needed them and decided to head back to Norfolk for a re-supply.
As I passed Baltamore Shipyard I Heard a transmission from the LNS-Europa telling me to 'Stop running'. Which was strange to say the least. After arriving at Norfolk I engaged docking sequence and as the sequence ended I got a transmission, again from LNS-Europa saying 'DO NOT DOCK!!'. Again rather confuseing.
After undocking he questioned my loyalty. Asking me who I work for. Still odd. Shortly after responding I was engaged by the LNS-Europa and eventually I had to abandon ship. Thankfully everyone managed to get to the pods before the reactor went.
I have never been a fan of taking out fellow LNS vessles, Whether they started it or not. The simple fact this guy and his crew have clearly lost thier minds and seem to think that its a good idea to engage other LN ships.
I strongly advise you destroy or dissable this vessle as quickly as possible. He is rather well armed and may try to use the element of surprise. Certainly caught me out ...

Subject - LNS Redlands Operational Report
It would appear that the Europa has in fact gone rogue. While hunting for a reported pirate vessel in the California system with the assistance of a number of bounty hunters, The Redlands encountered the Europa in orbit above Planet Los Angeles. The Europa then proceeded to block trade lane access to our ships and repeatedly asked "Who we worked for." Much to my surprise, The Europa then suddenly opened fire on the Redlands. After a quick engagement, the Redlands was crippled by the Battlecruiser's superior firepower. My crew suffered only moderate casualties and a rescue/recovery effort from Battleship Yukon allowed us to be towed back to Norfolk for repairs.
Video footage of the incident was damaged/lost in the attack, however our communication logs are intact. I have included them along with this report.

Just here to say goodbye to admiral Anderson.

It was a pleasure. That many good things may come your way Admiral.
Don't go all house-with-white-fence-and-a-dog on us ok? Nothing's a more painful sight than squared away ex-navy folk.
