Long day, but to the point. I was doing some combat exercises when I got a random distress call from a civilian near Manhattan. By the time I got there, there was a Ranseur named
Lanse-Carter near Manhattan orbit, shooting down civilians like no tomorrow. Ugh, though I was going to stop seeing those things when I joined the Navy. Moving on, the lone Dreadnought was shortly joined up by a Rogue Corvo named
Thunderbird. which had an annoying anti-snub weapon system, was damn difficult evading both of them while sending out a distress call. Instead of getting the assistance I had asked for, yet another Outcast came out of nowhere but this time it was a Sarissa class battleship named the
Scirocco. Manhattan's small defense fleet patrols were able to significantly damage the
Lanse-Carter by the time two of our
Secondary Fleet Dreadnoughts answered my distress call. Although...it wasn't what I had expected. One of our Dreadnoughts blindly charged the enemy "fleet" without any preparation whatsoever and engaged the
Scirocco even though I had reminded the captain that the enemy dreadnought was already heavily damaged, yet to no avail. Our
Dreadnought was ripped apart along with some random patrol craft. The second one however didn't even reply to my communiques, activated their cloaking device and just disappeared, I would like to stop and note the lack of IQ and the insane amount of incompetence among our Secondary Fleet.
Moving on, once our forces were again diminished to nothing, the
Lanse-Carter jumped out with her FTL drive. Shortly after, our orbital defenses had again done their job and heavily damaged the
Scirocco this time. Another of our secondary fleet dreadnoughts, the
LNS-Blockade.Lake responded to my distress call and came in guns blazing, the fight should have been short yet just as the
LNS-Blockade.Lake came in, the
Lanse-Carter jumped back in, the concentrated fire of the two enemy capital ships as well as the rogue Corvo was too much for the
LNS-Blockade.Lake to take even though I was impressed by the command crew's performance in combat. Yet one dreadnought was not enough and soon they were a but a floating wreck.
Only after a significant amount of time did our forces manager to muster a real counter. Captain Alan Polstari aboard the
[LN]-LNS-Mount.Shasta as well as the
SFC|LNS-Nidhogg came in to deal with the threat. At that time the enemy forces had been reinforced by snubcraft, a freelancer named
His.Six.Hoofs and some Outcast of this..75th squadron. And they were all shooting at me near Trenton, the
Lanse-Carter had jumped out before our two capital ships entered the fray and quickly made mince meat out of the
Scirocco, the
Thunderbird. had cloaked but without their capital support, I quickly took care of the
two 75th Members.
After that the fight had somewhat dulled and was split as we raced from position to position, first making some random Rogue dock on Rochester and then caught
His.Six.Hoofs and ripped him a new one.
Made it back to the Missouri with heavy damage, my ship's in repair, guncam images have been tagged to this report. That was some first day, nothing I'm not used to though, it was almost a normal day...except, for the majority of the Secondary Fleet's incompetence and lack of any sort of performance which I just have to point out yet again. Proceeding to get some rack time until my ship's back in proper flying state and I'll be ready for action again, sir.
Ambrose out.
