Good Afternoon All,
Recruits James Knocks and Natalia Wolfer, in recognition of your completion of West Point's Officer program and the subsequent probation period, you are both promoted to the rank of Ensign. Continue to demonstrate the high level of commitment you have to the Navy, and I'm confident you will go far.
As a result of your promotion, you are now authorized to fly Avenger and Guardian class fighters, in addition to the Upholder class bomber. I've forwarded your details on to Lieutenant Commander Jameson at requisitions command, and he'll be looking over your flight results and assigning you craft as appropriate.
Lieutenant Commander Hood, regardless of your period of service, it would be appreciated it if you could maintain a level of professionalism over Fleet Communications reflective of the rank you hold. I assure you, we're all well aware of the flying you do.
That'll be all,
Jane Hartman
Commander
Fleet Logistics Officer
Primary Fleet
Liberty Navy

Junkers;
Over the past few days since my return to duty, I have seen many faces, new and old. But some things in Liberty never change. The first of these are the Reavers, who still seem to be causing an endless amount of trouble. However, it seems that in my absence, the Junkers have lost their way.
As if they hadn't before.
Here are two separate incidents, both occurring today:
The above details a Congressman that passed right infront of Manhattan with Human Organs. Now, I may have been given permission by the Fleet Admiral to drink on duty, but a golden opportunity such as this does not pass me by. He was caught redhanded, refused to cut his engines let alone offer any kind of real acknowledgement, then proceeded to cloak. All of these events can be seen clearly in the evidence presented, as can the date of their occurence.
The above shows an independent Junker caught outside Rochester with Black Market Munitions. Having just returned from diving into the system's sun to escape myself and the undeservedly Lieutenant Commander Christopher Hood, he failed to get further than this before he was caught. He promptly docked, and replaced his cargo with a hold of Boron, also shown.
And to top the cake with the Cherry, he threatened me with an act of violence. I of course, dared him to make good on such a promise, to which I received no answer.
Quite the catch, I'm sure you will agree sirs and ma'ams. It seems that I should've taken this break sooner, since it seems to have lowered their guard to such an extent that I can be around for less than a week and already catch them in the act. Twice.
It is a pleasure to return to active duty.

Reconnaissance and another Junker;
Yesterday, we decided to take a force reconnaissance patrol of six fighters into edge world space. Admiral Sanders led our taskforce to remap and reassess the status of the edge world space beyond Alaska. We already knew the route we would take, thanks to our older intelligence that we were looking to update. Due to our choice of fighters, we would be able to slip in and out without drawing too much attention - unfortunately a mistaken assumption.
Our destination was Omicron Alpha, where we would make an assessment of the system and return via the same route. Unfortunately, we met overwhelming force before we reached our destination, with the nomads deploying a sizable mixed fleet to rid us from Omicron 99. This system in particular seemed to be teeming with alien life, and they even possessed a base, the Ravine.
We held out for as long as we could for backup, which was generously provided by the Order. However, their relief force was insufficient and our own reinforcements from Alaska both delayed and disorganised due to the pressure on our reconnaissance force. In the end, our force was broken and the Order took significant casualties attempting to extract us.
As our planned route back to Liberty was now cut off, the remainder of our patrol limped through a thankfully desolate Omicron Alpha. Our route back to Liberty from there is restricted information, but thankfully we made it back alive, if battered and bruised. We received help on the way from a very generous source, which I believe should be taken into account when dealing with them in the future.
Now, another Junker:
The above shows an independent Junker Salvage Frigate carrying a cargo hold full of one of the most illegal substances in Liberty. I lacked a cruise disruptor so I tailed him. Backup quickly arrived, with a 5th fleet pilot Jack O'Neill and Fleet Admiral Baker bringing a disruptor each. Their help was invaluable in sealing the fate of this smuggler.
I gave the Junker multiple chances and avenues to escape his fate: a hefty fine and leaving Liberty, dropping all of his cargo, but to no avail. Of course, this was fine by us, and he was dispatched as he tried to barter information about a supposed unauthorised base in Cortez.
Even if these were the words of a desperate criminal, it may be worth our time to completely sweep all of the Independent Worlds again. It's been a while since we have done so.
There was one more thing to report too. A Liberty Rogue Scylla destroyer freely moored at Rochester in plain view of myself. If this is anywhere near as unacceptable now as it was a year ago, this information will be useful.
That is all to report for now.
