Standard Ranks
Lord Privateer
- The voted representative and leader of Queen Carina’s Privateers
- Works as the Lord Brigadier’s right-hand man and boots on the ground
- Heads the Captains Summit and has a single vote same as the Captains
- May also propose new ideas to the Summit
- Relays information between the Captains Summit and the Lord Brigadier
- Will enforce and actively work with the Lord Brigadier and Captains to implement decisions made at the Summit
- Keeps the Captains in line and stops their rivalries from affecting the overall Privateer cause (If it doesn’t affect this then he couldn’t care)
- Will attend every Summit and will attend every diplomatic meeting
- As Head of Queen Carina’s Privateers he is not a member of any Crew. However, he does hold authority over all Crews (He will generally only interject if a Captain is failing in their duty)
Captain
- The leader of their Crew
- Is a member of the Captains Summit and has a vote in decisions made
- Can propose new ideas at the Summit
- Oversees promotions, demotions and discipline within their own crew (any Promotions or demotions made must then be relayed to the Lord Privateer)
- They may operate independently and may seek their own gain (Unless this goes against a decision made at the Summit or hinders the Privateers in general)
- They oversee their Crew activity and will make sure their Crew is active in disrupting enemy supply lines and bringing in money to Providence
- Must make sure that their Crews uphold to the Letter of Marque
First Mate
- The Captains second-in-command
- May attend the Captains Summit, however they do not have a vote
- May propose ideas at the summit
- Oversees the Crew’s day-to-day operations
- Can propose demotions or promotions to the Captain
- If they so wish they can with blessing from the Lord Privateer leave their crew and make their own as a Captain
- Will fulfil any tasks asked of them by their Captain
Quartermaster
- Is the third highest rank in a Crew
- Sees to the Crews ship and weapon maintenance and that everything is up to date
- If any changes need to be made to the Crew’s ships or weaponry, then they will report this to their Captain or First Mate
- May command small scale operations and raids
- May hire AMC members to help them with raids or cargo collection
- Helps the First Mate with day-to-day operations
Crewmember
- Makes up the main body of the Crew
- Is the lowest rank in the Crew
- Works as the general soldiers or pirates within the Privateers
- Must request to the Quartermaster if they wish to have restricted ships or equipment
- Can only issue orders to the Uninitiated
Uninitiated
- These poor buggers are Crewless!
- This is the rank a member of the Queen Carina’s Privateers will begin as until they find a crew to call home
- They are the general lackys and can be ordered around by anyone (even Crewmembers)
- They hold a rank equal to that of an Indie Privateer
Armed Merchant Cruiser Ranks
Sailsmaster
- This is the person in charge of the AMC
- They are equivalent in rank to a Captain
- They may join the Summit and have a vote
- May make proposals at Summit
- They work with the Lord Privateer with diplomacy and negotiations that involve trade or smuggling
- Oversee the discipline of the Boatswains under their command
- May operate trade routes and allow Boatswains to operate trade routes independently that are not against RP and do not affect Privateer Relations
- Will make sure that the Boatswains stick to the Letter of Marque
- Reports to the Lord Privateer
Boatswains
- This is the main body of the AMC
- They operate the transports that keep the Privateer supply lines and trade/smuggling routes running
- They can be hired by anyone of Quartermaster rank and above to help in raids
- Will report to their Sailsmaster or the Lord Privateer only, unless hired by a crew
