The "assign weapon grp x" keybinds appear to do nothing
What you do is, you use the 'select weapon group X' keybinds
You can have up to 6 weapon groups
To assign weapons to a group, activate that group with your 'select weapon group x' keybind, then enable/disable the weapons you want to be in that group by clicking them in your weapon list.
Make sure you have group 1 selected when you dock/die/etc because otherwise bad things happen and you have to re-do weapon groups. (iirc it replaces grp 1 with a copy of whatever weapon grp you have selected when you dock/die/whatever)
