**** Info: Jim Bean the bartender is free to be used by every visitor to have a conversation partner. He is a very friendly person wanting to help everyone the best possible and he wants to make his bar a nice and relaxing place. He is 34 years old, single, has no piloting license and was enslaved in an Outcast Asteroid bar since his childhood and rescued by Lord MacRae before 16 years. Please keep that in mind! Please do just RP here when you have docking rights to Fortitudine. ****

Situated on the topmost floor of Fortitudine base in Manchester, the new bar and restaurant "Tea & Pee Bar" is the latest addition to our list of Sirian stylish places with an unbelievable asteroid field view. Designed by the Bretonian architect Sir Paul Falteroy, the venue is basically a glass pane in the shape of two perfect squares, pretty much like the observation deck of a Renzu Liner. Flanked by two spacious life-support modules overlooking the asteroid fiels on the one side and planet Wight on the other, the view is pretty amazing. Inside, the dining and drinking tables, as well as the all-around bar, have been laid out curved, creating different comfortable zones and spatial possibilities for mining folk and high and mighty simultaneosly.

The palette of drinks and dishes are incredible. All drinks known in the Siriu's space are served here in perfection, from a well chilled Rheinbeer to a tasty Bretonian Gin Tonic. Of course non-alcoholics at its best are offered also and many Sirians confirm the Earl Grey Tea is the best they ever had.

All across Sirius, pursued by many bars and restaurants, drinking and dining trends were especially designed to fit the miner, trader and fighter cultures. But we’re led to believe that customers not only continue to desire luxury bars experiences but also want a pleasant and friendly atmosphere. Furthermore the "T 'n' P" provides an oasis of nostalgia and comfort for customers seeking an escape from their hectic lifestyle or just a connection to their home while visiting Bretonia.

*Lord MacRae entering the T 'n' P after 16 hours flying his Shetland transport. Pain and tiredness visible in his face*
MacRae: "Hi there Jim, everything ok here?"

*Lord MacRae winking at the bartender*
*Jim Bean stopps polishing a wine glas and waves towards the Lord*
Jim: "Welcome back Mylord, how was your day? May I serve your favourite drink sir?"

*Lord MacRae sitting down at the bar*
MacRae: "Yes, Jim, Earl Grey with milk and honey please."

*Lord MacRae sighs*
MacRae: "You know, Jim, its very much work to keep this place going on. Daily supplies with my Shetland, answering to contract requests, pushing the miners to do their job instead of staying in the T 'n' P the whole day ...."
*Lord MacRae sighs again*
MacRae: ".... to get FortiSec running and reading all that applications."

*Jim showing a insightfully face, sounds of boiling water in the background*
Jim: "Hm, Mylord, I understand what you want to say, but I have to admit you started it knowing what will happen, sir."

*Lord MacRae showing up from the table, showing a little smile in the corner of is mouth*
MacRae: "Of course I know it Jim, its all for Bretonia. And to be honest, what is a Lord who inhertited big bucks supposed to do with all that cash?! Dissipate in luxury? Buying 10 Renzu Liners with waterslide, jacuzzi tub, golf course and go-cart speedway? I already have one of those ..."

*Jim talking with reasonable certainty in his voice*
Jim: "Sir, you rescued me from that Asteroid bar where I was enslaved to work as a waiter. I know your noble and charitable attitude and being the bartender in a stylish bar is more I ever believed to achieve in my life, but ...."
*Jim suddenly stops talking, looking on the floor*

MacRae: "Hey Jim, you know you can say everything to me without fearing my anger!."
Jim: "I now sir, its just ..... is it worth ruining your health? I see you every day trough the bar's windowpane piloting your cargo, you sometimes do 30 loads a day and afterwards you sit here, absolutely exploited, drinking your tea or Mojito."

*Jim bringing the Earl Grey, placing it in front of the Lord*
MacRae: "Thank you very much Jim, that will help me to relax a little. So, what is your advise? The base has to be supplied, people want to have food and drinks in the T 'n' P, our new module construction needs building materials, Conquita has to be picked up from New London since her ship has a defective engine and ..."

*Jim interrupting the Lord laughing out loud*
Jim: "Hey hey Duncan! Wake up sir. I know our lavatories have to be extraordinary clean, ?but really?, picking up our lavatory attendant in your free time? Damn it you are a Lord, just buy here a new ship my friend!"

*Lord MacRae showing an astonished face, nearly spilling his tea over his trousers*
MacRae: "Oh Jimmy boy, to be honest ... I never thought of that ...... oh look more guests are coming!"

*A uniformed BPA Officer entering the bar,her Majesty's colours shining in the spotlights *
Officer Barnikle had decided to take a stop at Fortitudine after a long and somewhat frustrating patrol .
He had hoped to meet Fortinbras at the Bar, but as the Hegemon was not stowed in the Dock he supposed the Miner was working, and hanging around in the radioactive clouds was not what the joung man wanted to do at the moment. And Venturer was .... well, not exactly the dearest to the Junior Constable William E. Barnikel.
Oh sure, they had lived together, they were childhood friends. But childhood enemies would also be fitting.
He would keep a watchful eye on Fortitudine and that rascal Venturer, now that he had joined the Authority and Venturer was working for FortiSec.

As he noticed the Lord sitting and chatting with the Barkeeper he nearly turned, the man was famous after all ?
But - no. He represented her Majesty here, even in free time. He wore her Majestys colours.
So he quickly checked if his uniform was in Order and strode over to greet the owner of Fortitudine and Fortisec.

"I greet you, Lord MacRae. May I introduce myself ? I am Junior Constable Barnikel, on Patrol here in Manchester.
Brother to Fortinbras ? And I thank you for the hospitality shown here at Fortitudine. "

*Lord MacRae shaking hands with the officer*
MacRae: "Hello officer, nice to meet you sir. We are very pleased everytime BPA is visiting our base during the patrols, sir."

*Looking to Jim who walked back behind the bar*
MacRae: "Jim another Earl Grey for this noble man at my own expense, please."

*Looking back to the officer with a facial expression showing a little smile and amusement*
MacRae: "So Mr. Barnikel, I saw you through the windowpane docking with a Hussar, it is very reassuring to know that the famous officer, Mr. Waldorf Salad, is getting some support lately by Mr. Smith and now you sir.

*Facial expression changing to solicitude*
MacRae: "He was kind of lost and fighting a loosing battle, all alone against smugglers and criminals."

*Suddenly laughing out loud*
MacRae: "But perhaps Mr. Waldorf has to fear his new trainees even mor than the unlawfuls. A transport captain told me the latest gossip and it says he had to ask the BPA superiors to provide him a new ship twice in the last days. His ship was hit by two torpedos exidentially shot in his back from his trainee and yesterday a supporter rammed his ship in a trade lane and he has to evacuate in an escape pod again?"

*Jim arriving with the officer's Earl Grey tea*
MacRae: "Well, perhaps it was just bad luck."
"Rest assured, my Lord. I will pass these coincidences on to my superiors and will ask it to be checked"

Internally Barnikel winced at the thought.

"The Training is strict, and I am sure that such occurances will not happen more often than - lets say - a Hegemon mining a weapons platform or a Transport Tanker ramming Fortitudine."

He smiled and tried to seem authoritative and calm, like the senior officers he had watched at the Jard.

"Thank you for the Tea, Lord MacRae. I have heared it is excellent. But nothing else, thank you"

.... he had also be warned about the Lords fixation on sausages.
*After an hour of gossip, laughs and Earl Grey tea with the BPA officer and Jim, the Lord suddenly struggles to his feet*
MacRae: "So Mr. Barnikel, Jim, I am going to my room now to get some rest.Tomorrow I have to get 100k industrial Material ..... and you both know how many runs that will be with my Shetland ....... Good night gentlemen."

*Jim sighs, looking afterwards the Lord leaving, the officer walking towards the lavatories*

*Endured another day full of work, meetings and transport piloting Lord MacRae enters the Tea & Pea Bar for a little snack*
*Jim seems to be in the cold storage room or kitchen, so the Lord is silently "crawling" to a lounge, falling on a chair afther the arrival*

*Jim stepping into the bar through the kitchen door and immediately heading to the Lord *
Jim: "Mylord, what can I serve you ...."

*Jim wincing horrified seeing the Lords totally exhausted facial expression*
Jim: "... damn ... what did you do again sir, you need to go to bed and 24 hours of rest!"

*The Lord showing a little smile because of Jim's care about his condition*
MacRae "Of course you are correct, but, work has to be done to keep this place alive. Thanks for taking care Jim, really Jim, thank you. Not many people value that commitment but take it as normal and do not scrutinise it."

*MacRae sighs and looks into the menu*
MacRae "Nevertheless I need something to eat after that hard work, you believe me when I say I supplied Fortitudine with 75k tonnes of supplies and a customer base with 20k tonnes in a Shetland in one day?"

*Jim shaking his head*
MacRae "No sir, I would not believe that if anyone other would claim that, but seeing your physical condition I would even believe the doubled amount. Please sir, start to think about it and do not mess with your health!"

*MacRae acting as he did not hear the begging, tapping to the menu with his finger*
MacRae "You can bring me that meal, I want to know how the favourite meal of our miners tastes. Hah, "rock-hard bread" after that hard day seems to fit perfectly."
*MacRae trying to laugh, but just creating noises like groaning.*

*Jim nodding and then walking towards the kitchen door*
Jim "I am going to bring you a Mojito too sir, perhaps you can fall asleep faster, not thinking about your tomorrow responsibilities all night."

*After a quick meal and a Mojito, with many cries of pain while trying to trying to chew the bread, the Lord leaves the bar, heading towards his room to get some hours of sleep*

With a final swivel and stutter of life from the starboard thrusters, the Barrier Jewel sank towards the wide hangar floor and came to a juddering, jarring halt. The bay doors finished the slow ordeal of closing and the almost-fresh paintwork of the vast Hegemon glimmered as the vaulted hangar lights switched from flashing hazard to pearly and hospitable.

Positioned on the wide gantry that made up the helm of the vessel, Alex released the flight yoke and relaxed, releasing breath he didn't realise he held and sitting back into the hard, creaking leather of the ships' command chair. He closed his eyes for a moment and opened them to see the two other occupants of the bridge watching him patiently; Angus Burnett, the vessel's chief engineer and systems specialist, shared a faint smile and nodded towards the console before Alex, while Jan Meier, his chief of staff and second-in-command, wore a blank expression as she returned to running the post-flight checks.

The console in question bleeped softly as the systems and generators running throughout the cavernous ship shut down in sequence, rings of yellow diodes blinking and flashing. After a moment longer, Alex seized Burnett's cue and reached forward to depress a stiff rectangular button set into the array, triggering a distant klaxon down in the main processing bays and hallways of the vessel and opening the internal comm channel.

"The Jewel has docked fully, lads, shift's over. Great work today, we've had a good haul." His voice was gruff from tiredness and he felt thoroughly parched, but he delayed a moment longer to reassure the rest of the crew. "Tab's open as always, I'll see you in the bar." He hurriedly completed the last menial tasks - such as sending a log entry to the maintenance crew about the wearing on the aft underside radiation shielding, and persistent laser overheating issues - before shutting down the bridge and accompanying his pair of colleagues down and out of the ship.

A short while later the complete seven-body crew and himself made their ritual walk into the Tea & Pee. Unlike the lower commercial bays of the station, the uppermost deck holding the stylish bar gleamed in a pristine elegance. From the natural wooden floors to the soft golden counter-top and mood lighting - not to mention a view to catch your heart in your throat - the room was a heavenly sight for a tired huddle of miners and their captain. Almost as heavenly as the round of hot drinks and smells of full Bretonian breakfasts that followed in their usual order.

Little time was wasted with idle talk as the ravenous octet filled themselves with sizzling, crisp bacon, perfectly fried eggs, hash browns, plump and hearty sausages. With beans, grilled mushrooms, tomatoes and fresh, thick doorwedges of toast drizzled with butter and washed down by steaming mugs of strong, traditional tea.

The meal being the only thing he'd been after for hours, Alex was finally content, and left the seven to themselves in a booth after ordering them several rounds of ice-cold Rheinbier. A holoscreen over their table held their attention as Bretonian and Rheinlandic sports teams clashed in a far-away match of some sorts, and every now and then a hoot, cheer or wail erupted from the group as they enjoyed their evening off.
Meanwhile, Alex retreated towards the window tables and took a bench alone, much preferring the quietness to relax. While he was firm friends with most of his crew, he'd fast come to appreciate time away from them as well; a man of his years could hardly keep up with such antics.

Settling his feet onto a low table and sinking back into the soft plushy leather, he let his tired eyes drift out into the staggering view of the ice fields beyond. With his hand now cradling a tumbler of the Tea & Pee's finest single malt, it would take a hell of a lot to break his newfound serenity. Nevertheless his table was, as always, open to pleasant company.

Security Officer entered the bar, he looks around and come to the bartender.
Officer: Bartender! Martin Pawlak, Chief Logistics Officer in the ranks of Universal Shipping is coming here. Be nice and don't try anything stupid, we are watching you...
He said few words to his microphone inside his hand

Martin Pawlak cames to the T&P Bar, sat near the bar and looks to bartender.

Martin: Hi there. I need a drink. My crew is waiting for a load of Raw Hydrocarbons. Seems that your storage here is empty again. I'm wondering why should i spend so much credits to stay here... Give me a beer, but not Rheindland one, its so bad...

Pawlak is looking to his security officer
Martin: Officer, we are going to stay here for a while. We need those hydrocarbons... Our crew will stay on the Uhuru quarters, but i'm going to stay here for a moment... Where is my beer?
*Endured the next day full of work, how could it ever be different, the Lord making his way fom the docks to the bar and stopped suddenly whil stepping into it*
*The T'n'P was well attendent today and MacRae lets his gaze wandering the view, a mining crew watching sports on the holoscreen, Jim preparing a beer, a frowning tall man with black sunglases hectically watching around near another man also kind of frowning watching Jim oing his work and Mr. Sarand relaxing in a lounge taking a sip from his Whiskey*

*After some steps toward the bar, MacRae scratches his head, realizing that the one person was obviously Mr. Pawlak, a contract partner with enourmous needs of ore*
*Jim serving an ice-cold Rheinbeer for Mr.Pawlak*
Jim: "Here you are sir, icy cold and veeeery delicious. Cheers sir!"

*MacRae arriving in exactly a moment the security officer watching in another direction towards the shouting and laughing mining crew, MacRae greeting Mr. Pawlak with putting his hand on his shoulder*
MacRae: "Hello sir, nice to meet you here and a pleasure you did not just buy ore and then leave immediately afterwardsagain, but have left your ship today to visit our bar."

*The security officer lightning fast turning his head and grabbing his gun .... then realizing it was the Lord ..... the business partner of his boss*
MacRae: "Oh, I am sorry officer. Perhaps I should have said something prior approaching. Please put your gun away or I have to think about your special permit for this base again."

*The officer easing again, MacRae focusing the USI CEO*
MacRae: "Mr. Pawlak, you know ..... that ore is vanishing that fast lately and demand is still rising. Our miners do their best but a continuous supply is is not yet possible. Had 50k tonnes of ore in our storage yesterday and today its empty again, perhaps we have some rats down there or a hull breach."

*Jim lauging about MacRae's joke while preparing a Mojito for him*
MacRae: "Please believe me, we do everything we can, but still there are too less miners doing their daily job reliable. Over here you can see one of the best crews with their captain Mr. Sarand. They managed to win the 100 million credits price for the best mining ship last month. If we just could have more men with that readiness of action. Oh Jim a Bull Fillet please."
*Jim nodding towards the Lord*

*MacRae sighs, thinking about the other mining crews*
MacRae: "Captain Fortinbras and his mining crew or the freelancing miner Mr. David Forsyth, yes, these three ships are the best and this place would be extinct without them."

*MacRae suddenly looking on the floor, showing a sad facial expression, silently whispering*
MacRae: "Or if my father, the Duke MacRae, would still be here with his miner ..... I hope he will be located soon ....."

*MacRae able to speak with a clear and loud voice again*
MacRae: "Perhaps you can talk to Mr. Sarand here directly to ask when his crew is going into the mining fields again and when the storage of Fortitudine is filled again. "
