Or am I the only one?
Would you care to specify and explain your hatred a bit further? Or is this just an inexplicable blanket hatred of all cartoons of Japanese origin?

Not wanting to provoke 90% of our community. I don't like animes and find them irritating as well. But cant say it is hate. I have no reason to hate something that someone else likes.
Well, if it's the art style(s) that you don't like, alright I can understand a blanket hate there. Although the content is actually not that bad, it's almost like our standard cartoons except there is a ton of them. If you hate one, find another section of it that's more interesting.

Also, since it's flood. I couldn't resist.

Can't say that I hate them, I just don't watch them. Tried, not interesting for me.
I hate admines.
Burn it all.
Not really. I do not hate the anime or manga, because it is a medium, like theatre or TV. Try Akagi or Kaiji, which is a very good show (aside of Mahjong or gambling in particular) that I would put under psychological drama, because it shows how to destroy weak minds. Akagi owns everyone, while Kaiji is more unlucky than lucky guy in particular - but gambles everything it comes in way.

As it comes to the anime, I do not like Naruto nor Bleach and so on. I prefer shows directed to the more adult audience (do not mix it up with porn, I'm thinking about more serious themes with perhaps small dose of insanity). I believe this is kinda fault of the Western distributors, because they offer in fact scraps from the all the jewels in Japan.

As a sidenote: I offer you (provided you like Sci-Fi in particular) Legend of the Galactic Heroes, that beats any actor sci-fi show, in my humble opinion. Too bad that books (yes, it is based on the books) are not available in English. I can't really link you to that, because it is not licensed outside of Japan - but was fansubbed. As I wrote before, LoGH is finest example that distributors brings scraps to the Europe and America.
