It was the 23rd century ... mankind's darkest hour!
Hello, everyone. I am VincentX and I am your host for this Freelancer-inspired alternative history open roleplay.
We all know the story: the war between the Alliance and the Coalition had been raging for almost a hundred years! In desperation, the Alliance launched five sleeper ships; for them to begin again far from the war and the strife that had befallen Earth ... to start free from the prejudices that had divided us for so long!
... But what if history had taken a different turn?
What if the Alliance hadn't launched a mere five ships? What if there were many more? What if the Alliance had more time to prepare? What if more nations could have made the jump? What then? Who would they have been? Where would they have gone? What would Sirius look like now? What if you had been there at the very start of the exodus?
Which choices would you have made?
This is an open roleplay. This means anyone can participate, as long as they behave themselves and play by the rules. Anyone can join at any time, though depending on the stage of the timeline, some options will be closed. (For example: you can no long pick a nation and build a sleeper ship after they've been launched, but you may create a faction in any House once they've been established).

This roleplay will go ahead in three stages:
STAGE ONE: PRELAUNCH
In stage one, players can pick ANY Alliance nation and build a sleeper ship, limited to one sleeper ship per nation. This includes the nations in original Freelancer, so be quick if you want one of those! There is a limited timeframe for building sleeper ships. Stage two kicks off with the launch of all sleeper ships, meaning no more can be built once the exodus has begun.
STAGE TWO: EXODUS
Stage two is the journey from Sol to Sirius. In this stage, players will have to make the choices that will ultimately decide where their sleeper ship lands, based on what telemetry tells them. Landing site will greatly influence all future development of your House, so be careful what you pick!
STAGE THREE: SIRIUS
This is the real meat of the game! Once you've landed your sleeper ship, the developing fase of the colonies really starts! More details will be forthcoming later, just remember that it's a tough universe out there and your choices won't be easy.
